📺 We’re thrilled to share the news that Livett’s chairman, Chris Livett, will be appearing in the brand new television series Tales From The Riverbank With Clare Balding.

🌊 Airing on Channel 5, this captivating show explores Britain’s most iconic rivers, celebrating their rich history, stunning landscapes, and the people who live and work along them.

🌉 As Bargemaster to HM King Charles III and a seventh generation Waterman and Lighterman, Chris brings unparalleled knowledge and experience of the River Thames to the series.

With a family history on the Thames dating back to 1710, he has countless fascinating stories to share about London’s iconic river, its historical significance, and the communities it has shaped over centuries.

Tales From The Riverbank With Clare Balding begins at 8pm on Thursday 13 February on Channel 5

⛴️ We are delighted to announce that Livett’s has been appointed as the principal marine contractor for the extensive refurbishment of the historic Hungerford Bridge.

🌉 A crucial part of London’s infrastructure, Hungerford Bridge – also known as Charing Cross Bridge – carries the railway line into Charing Cross Station and has played a key role in the capital’s transport network for 161 years.

🤩 Almost two weeks on since arriving on Netflix, the popularity of Back In Action isn’t showing any signs of waning.

📈 The blockbuster action-comedy starring Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx has now topped the streaming platform’s most-watched list for 12 days straight, going to No1 in an incredible 85 countries.

📺 In that time it has generated over 90 million streams – and counting. According to Forbes, Back In Action is in a promising position to make some Netflix history.

😲 Evidently, the high octane, jaw-dropping stunts that feature throughout the film are going down a treat with audiences.

🎬 We recently shared details of how we helped produce some of the most thrilling scenes ever to be captured on the River Thames as part of our involvement with the film.

🎞️ Now, thanks to Back In Action’s second unit director, JJ Perry, we can enjoy bonus footage of some of the amazing London stunts that were cut from the final edit.

🎬 Some of the most dangerous and thrilling scenes to ever be filmed on and around the River Thames was what the team behind the high octane Back In Action demanded.

🏍️ Stunts included a dangerous motorbike chase on the foreshore of the Thames, stretching from the South Bank all the way down to the Thames Barrier, via our Butler’s Wharf Pier base, ticking off iconic landmarks such as Tower Bridge along the way.

🛥️ Alongside this was a high-profile river chase. When filming for these scenes reached the Royal Docks, one of the most intricate, ambitious, and dangerous stunts to ever take place there unfolded.

🚣‍♂️ Oh, and we also taught Cameron Diaz how to drive a boat!

🎞️ London was thrown back to the early years of World War 2 for the production of new Apple TV drama Blitz, directed by Oscar-winning Steve McQueen.

🎬 Our highly regarded River Thames filming and marine coordination team, led by Ed Livett, were recruited to help produce scenes on the water.

🎥 This included a major special effects set piece, in which an ablaze German aircraft slams into riverside buildings.

🎞️ Our latest collaboration with Netflix is a step closer to hitting screens!

💥 Back In Action, starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, tells the story of husband and wife former CIA spies who are pulled back into the dangerous world of espionage after their secret identities are exposed.

🎥 Many of the film’s biggest set piece sequences take place throughout London and on the River Thames itself – including one of the most ambitious and risky river chase scenes ever seen.

🎬 This meant Livett’s highly regarded stunt filming and marine coordination team were enlisted to support production between December 2022 and January 2023.
