Today on I’m joined by Peter Adjaye . We discuss his new project in which he was commissioned to compose and produce an installation for the exhibition ‘A Countervailing Theory’, in collaboration with celebrated Nigerian American artist , in the unique 90 metre Barbican Curve Gallery. I was blown away by both the art and sound when I went down the other day...it’s free and showing till 2021 . I love the way Peter has found a way to develop as an artist from his early groundbreaking work as RPM and The Runaways which was actually on a label he formed, Ultimate Dilemma (where began!)....And from those bygone days of beats and jazz Peter went on to work with his brother David on the pioneering ‘Dialogues’ project. His use of sound and texture is extraordinary and stands up during these existential times! It’s a real pleasure to share his music and thoughts live from 3pm today.
