I just shared internally with our team at Meta that after more than 16 years, I will be leaving Meta sometime in 2025. I walked in the door at (then) Facebook in 2008 and never left. It has been an unimaginably amazing career adventure, and truly has been the honor and privilege of a lifetime to be part of the Meta team. I will leave Meta with a lifetime of lessons and so many cherished friends.
I am especially grateful to Mark for his vision, leadership and friendship, and for the way he’s instilled a learning mindset into the very DNA of this company that’s pushed us all to be better and stronger – individually and together. I’ll be forever grateful to Sheryl who recruited me to Meta, who began as my manager for many years, became a trusted mentor and friend, and who has influenced so much about who I am as a leader.
To the Meta team (past and present!) - It has been the honor and privilege of a lifetime to work alongside and learn from you for so many years. I will always be cheering you on!

I’m writing to share that after more than 16 years, I will be leaving Meta next summer. I’m thrilled to share that Janelle Gale, who has been an exceptional leader on the People team for more than 12 years, will officially step into the Head of People role starting in January 2025.
I am tremendously and forever grateful for my time here, and for this incredible experience working alongside all of you. The people at Meta are - by far - the strongest collection of visionaries, leaders, colleagues and friends any of us will ever encounter in our careers. I don’t take one minute of my time at Meta for granted.
