Rail cybersecurity standards: from awareness to adoption
Two years ago, the focus was on introducing the railway sector — including the US rail community — to IEC 63452, the first cybersecurity standard developed specifically for rail.
What’s notable since then is how early industry engagement translated into real participation. The working group has grown internationally, with active involvement from US members, and the standard has now reached a key milestone with the preparation of the Committee Draft for Vote (CDV).
