Apple seeds contain a natural chemical that releases cyanide when chewed. Eating a few seeds won’t hurt you, but eating about 200 seeds or the seeds from about 18–20 apples in one go could actually be deadly.

According to toxicology data:
A fatal dose of cyanide is around 50–300 mg for an adult. Apple seeds contain about 0.6 mg of cyanide

So, maybe don’t snack on the seeds! 😉

When you look at the stars in the night sky, you’re actually seeing the past. The light from some stars takes thousands, even millions of years to reach Earth.

So, a star you see shining tonight might have already burned out ages ago!

Did you know? 🥕👀
Carrots don’t actually improve your vision-they just help you maintain normal eye health. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which your body converts into vitamin A. Vitamin A is essential for eyesight, but once you’re getting enough, extra carrots won’t give you “super vision.”

In fact, lots of other foods like sweet potatoes, kale, and spinach can have just as much or even more beta-carotene.

So why do carrots get all the credit?
During World War II, the British were shooting down German bombers at night with surprising accuracy. Their secret? Radar. To keep this new technology hidden, the UK spread the story that pilots had “night vision” thanks to eating lots of carrots. The myth stuck… and here we are.
So yes, carrots are healthy but no, they won’t turn you into a superhero. 😅

Chameleons can launch their tongues at astonishing speeds and distances, sometimes more than twice their body length.

Their tongues are powered by a built-in spring-like mechanism and tipped with a suction-cup design to grab prey. Every part—the launcher, the tongue itself, and the precise aiming system—has to work in perfect harmony. If even one piece failed, the chameleon wouldn’t eat.

Such complexity could never have slowly developed over millions of years. From the very beginning, it had to be fully functional. What an amazing reminder of God’s wisdom and design!

You shed about 8 pounds of dead skin each year.
Most of the dust in your home? It’s you.

Your stomach gets a new lining every 3–4 days.
Otherwise, it would digest itself due to the strong acid it produces (pH ~1.5!).

🧬 Your DNA is 94% identical to a chimpanzee’s — but also 50% identical to a banana.

Humans and chimpanzees share about 98.8% of the same DNA when comparing protein-coding genes.
But even crazier, around 50–60% of your genes are similar to those in a banana.

Has anyone ever been born without a brain?
Yes, it’s called hydranencephaly.

It is so empty that you can shine a light through the babies skull because there’s no brain tissue present.

See all that dark space?

Not much is happening there. This condition happens in about 1 in 5,000 pregnancies and typically results in death within minutes of the child being born (many of these pregnancies are terminated or miscarried).

The brain does far more than thinking. It runs the whole ship. And if nothing is there, everything breaks down. The spots where there should be a brain are instead filled with spinal fluid.

Your brain has more connections than there are stars in the galaxy.
Estimated number of stars in the Milky Way: ~100 billion.
Estimated synapses in the average human brain: 100 trillion.

Butterflies taste with their feet. When a butterfly lands on a plant, tiny sensory organs on its feet (called chemoreceptors) help it "taste" the leaves or flowers to check if they’re suitable for laying eggs or for feeding. In fact, they can detect sugars and other chemicals just by standing on a surface — no tongue needed!
