An outsource well spent 💸✨

Even as a VA with a solid mix of skills—I know my limits.

I recently rebranded and redesigned my website.

Designing? Love it.
Building? Hated every second. 😩

I spent hours pulling my hair out before I finally said…

👉 “Nope. This is not it.”

It was draining my time, my energy, and honestly—my joy.
So I outsourced it.

And it was the BEST money I’ve spent this year.

She built the bones.
I made it pretty.
And it worked like a dream.

💥 I saved time.
💥 I saved money.
💥 I saved my sanity (and my laptop from being launched out the window).

Because while she worked her magic, I got back to mine—networking, client work, growing the business.

We are looking for 3 clients that would be willing to hand over some small simple admin tasks to Keira so that I can train her as a VA.

Keira is 19 and has A levels in Media Studies, Business Studies & got high grades in English and Maths. She is an incredible communicator with exceptional customer service skills. She’s a hard worker, quick learner and is looking to gain some new skills in the admin world.

I will oversee all the work she does and support her every step of the way! 👯‍♀️

Fees will be only £15 per hour for a limited time only!!

I Used to HATE LinkedIn… But Now? Game Changer.
For YEARS, I avoided LinkedIn like the plague.

It felt clunky. Stuffy. Full of spammy cold messages and people trying to sell me things I didn’t need.

Every time I opened it, I’d be hit with:
❌ 20 copy-paste DMs from strangers trying to “connect” (aka pitch me something).
❌ 15 more messages linking me to random articles I had zero interest in.
❌ A newsfeed full of content that had NOTHING to do with me or my business.

So I did something drastic…

I deleted my entire LinkedIn and started again.

Scary? Yep.
Worth it? 1000%.

Now, I’m using LinkedIn on my terms:
✔️ Connecting with real people I actually want to talk to.
✔️ Engaging with content that inspires & helps me grow.

And she’s back in Businessssss 😝

This is the face of a lady who quit her job 5 days ago and has just signed a contract with a brand new VA client 😝

He had 150 applications and after comprehensive responses from me and a zoom meeting to chat he picked lil old me as his most experienced and diversely suitable VA! 🤗

I will be working with this gentleman as a Personal Life Assistant & Business Admin Support. Think ‘all the life admin that’s all too much’.

Tasks like

✨helping source a psychologist for a private EHCP assessment for his child
✨ booking a tennis camp for their holiday
✨ arranging a professional organiser to help get his house systemised

💕taming the business emails and creating systems
💕 dealing with complaints and client relationships
💕 checking invoices have been paid and reconciling

And much much more!

🥹 It’s true what they say—you don’t know what you’ve lost until it’s gone.

For years, I had freedom. The flexibility to work on my terms, be present for my family, and build a business that fit around my life. And when I gave that up to return to employment, I didn’t realise how much I’d miss it… until it was gone.

But today? Today, I felt that freedom again—and it reminded me exactly why I made the decision to go back to working for myself.

☀️ Started my morning with a stroll to my dad’s house to help him with his e-commerce business—because when you work for yourself, you can say yes to the things that matter (and my dad matters).

💛 Made lunch and ate it with my daughter before she headed to work—because spending time with my kids is my favourite thing to do.

💻 Had a discovery call with a potential client (out of 150 applicants, I made the top two—so fingers crossed! 🤞).

📱 Created content, reconnected with old clients, and let them know I have capacity again.

🐶 Took the dog to the groomers, did the food shop, listened to a podcast, cleaned the kitchen, and even booked a lunch date with a friend for next week.

And now? I’m sat here feeling completely content.

Self-employment isn’t always easy, but today reminded me that it is 100% the right path for me. The ability to build a business while still being present for my life is something I’ll never take for granted again.

You know when you make a decision and you just feel so at peace? 🙏🏼

That was me yesterday.

I made a decision that was scary and uncomfortable but I knew would deeply replenish my soul.

And ever since I made that move the universe has been showing me how right I was all day.

That I’m back on the right path and aligned again!

And I feel free. Like I can breathe deep again. Alive and energised.

I can’t tell you how many ‘oh my god’ moments I’ve had with unexpected positive things happening in the past 24 hours. Like WTF moments 😅😍

Work enquiries out of nowhere. Calls and messages from people being supportive.

The universe has kicked up a gear and I just know I made the right move 🥹

As my spirit guides once whispered. Everything is going to be ok. Everything is going to be ok.
