Gratitude is powerful, especially for the things we don’t experience. People celebrate surviving cancer, accidents, or hardships and rightly so. But how often do we give thanks for not being sick, not being broke, not losing loved ones, not facing tragedy? Many blessings are silent. Waking up healthy, having peace of mind, eating without pain, sleeping without fear, these are miracles we overlook. Gratitude teaches us to appreciate prevention, protection, and peace. When we learn to thank God for what didn’t happen, our hearts become calmer and more content. True gratitude isn’t only for victories, it’s also for preservation.
