Photographer Lily Potekhina frequently makes photo books of her family holidays and shared the following tips for creating the ultimate keepsake:

📚️Many people try to fit all their holiday photos into one book, often squeezing 15–20 photos onto a single spread. But less is more. I recommend selecting 30–40 photos that truly capture the essence of your trip.

📚️Don’t be afraid of empty space. ‘Breathing room’ on the pages makes the photo book look more stylish, modern, and enjoyable to flip through.

📚️Add little notes and stories while your memories are still fresh. Later, it will be so special to read them and relive those moments.

Photographer Felicity van Steenbergen shared a few thoughts on her most recent Bob Books photo book 'Copenhagen.'

'I always start my books by editing down my selection of images, often pretty brutally. For my Copenhagen book, it didn't work either sequencing images chronologically, or by city district. The arrangement is therefore based much more on colour palette, geometry and scale - from wide angle architectural shots to more intimate street photography,' she says.

'Printing my photography in book form is an important part of my process. I've selected the lustre paper for years, as it feels a bit special - almost as if the images themselves have more weight.'
