Sotelo joined the book launch and reading of the Philippine National Hero’s books, José Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo.

“Met so many brilliant literary icons and passionate art personalities, and it was such a joy to reconnect with the ever-inspiring Kidlat Tahimik,” Sotelo said on her Facebook post.

“Grateful to be part of the Philippine Literary Circle Europe and to take part at M. Renker’s Books Maria Renker,” Sotelo added.

Sotelo, who also worked a freelance correspondent in Spain for ABS-CBN News, is the translator of Quintin Jose Pastrana’s book, The Cat Who Lost Her Purr.

Meanwhile, another Quintin Pastrana’s book, Ambahan, is translated by Filipino journalist Danton Remoto, a former TV5 journalist.

“The Cat Who Lost Her Purr and Ambahan are receiving wonderful responses - truly opening doors for more translation projects ahead,” she said.

Remoto also featured his two latest novels “Boys' Love: A Novel" and "Crocodile's Tears" at the Philippine Pavilion, Frankfurt Book Fair 2025.

“Before coming here, my psychic told me I'd be lucky. Have just talked to publishing officers from Spain, Thailand and Turkey, who want to publish my work in their countries. Next stage is negotiations between my publisher and these kind people. Huge crowds at the Phillipine display of books,” Remoto said on his page.
