4 UK Winter Adventure Ideas:
Here are a small handful of the type of adventures that can be found in our book…
1: Driving Scotlands Snow Roads.
The highest public roads in Britain, the Snow Roads route takes you through some of the most extraordinary vistas in Scotland’s Cairngorms National Park.
What we love about this adventure is its versatility. The road trip element means you can stop as much or as little as you like.
2: Surfing Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast.
If you didn’t already know the waters off the north coast of Northern Ireland are famously good for surf… and, if like us, you’re not a great surfer then that doesn’t have to matter - with several big, beautiful beaches there is spending for all abilities with loads of places to rent boards.
Word of warning though, this one is not for the feint hearted - the water will be cold!
3: Sailing Norfolks Smugglers Routes
Sailing silently along North Norfolk’s salt marshes in a beautifully restored traditional Mussel Boat with makes for quite the winter adventure.
The routes that wind through these completely flat marshes were used by smugglers to transport contraband and are now navigated by only the most skilled sailors - a winter afternoon with CEC is one you will never forget.
4: Explore Tyninghame Beach:
A huge expanse of golden sand, framed up by rolling dunes and alpine trees, this beach has to be one of the finest in southern Scotland.
And just a 30 minute drive from Edinburgh this is one for he easier Scottish beaches to access!
