Don’t fit in the box !! Reject the idea that you don’t belong or what you want to achieve is just not practical enough .

Im currently in Turkmenistan 🇹🇲 for the long awaited Third Conference of the Landlocked and Developing Countries .Happy to be a global citizen 🫶🏽 and contribute to solutions for all landlocked countries, especially the two countries I call home Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 🇧🇼Here to new friends !!

I BELIEVE in the collective action Africans are taking towards a better future for Africa . Regeneration of our land, opportunities for our growing youth population who are innovating for problem solving ,through practice of restorative justice, Afro-Ecology,ZeroWaste living and I am glad I embraced the call to attend this transformative experience at where I saw all these in action in a village !

Sometimes we complicate things and think sustainability needs money or we need to achieve but it starts with being intentional about our habits and choices.

To travel is to find yourself !!! I spent quite sometime end of last year with people from Pearl of Africa 🇺🇬🙏🏾 blessed I got the opportunity to appreciate their country and also so happy to travel beyond Southern Africa within the continent!

The hospitality 🫶🏽 , we are ONE Africa !!

Last year for my birthday and , I did a campaign where I challenged my participants to take account if all the single use plastic they use during the month , this year I hosted a Low Waste Birthday Picnic with my closest friends where I asked them to bring ; Refillable Water bottles and “an open mind “ amongst other things .. and the results are interesting 🤣. Will be sharing the videos on the bottle situation and also some do their challenges in being more sustainable.

Lifestyle based sustainability is so important because it ensures we change policies or implement solutions for a People that are ready for them through practice . For the technical / policy advocacy work we do in sustainability , there’s also a need to internalize the things we speak off in whatever small way we can and Enjoy them too !

I think lifestyle based sustainability isn’t just about pretty aesthetics but making the changes that are tangible and accessible to us

This was so amazing !!! I was overjoyed to contribute to this symposium through the panel alongside Shine Monyatsi, Katso Lizarene Ramodia and Dr Tlamelo Setshwaelo, where we unpacked the challenges faced by youth in these areas and how they can all intersect to create inclusive solutions, employment opportunities and then through mentorship of the Climate Track (The Green Warriors ) who came in second for the Youth Pitching competition. One message that echoed through the panel and something I will always continue to champion is that there is no absence of innovation with youth in Botswana! They need opportunities for their ideas to actualise because they can unlock opportunities for themselves and others . Thank you for the opportunity to the organisers and partners.

As the founder of Kids for Climate Action and EcoGirlAfrica, Tinaye leverages her expertise to champion sustainability solutions and the transformative power of inclusive dialogue and communal action. 🧩

⚕️HEALTH - DR. TLAMELO SETSHWAELO

Dr Tlamelo Setshwaelo is a medical doctor with over 8 years of clinical and public health experience. Currently as the Clinical Project Manager at the Botswana Sexual and Reproductive Health Initiative, under the Botswana Harvard Health Partnership, she supports clinical research focused on improving the sexual and reproductive health outcomes of adolescent girls and women in Botswana. 🩺

📲 DIGITAL - SHINE MONYATSI

Shine Monyatsi is a dynamic 29-year-old entrepreneur and the founder of Ipachi Capital, a pioneering FinTech company that leverages advanced data analytics to deliver risk-based lending solutions to underserved small businesses across Africa. Shine is a passionate advocate for community empowerment and inclusive finance. He has represented Africa on major global platforms, including the Paris ViVa Tech Summit and the Global Startup World Cup. 🌐

🌍 DIPLOMACY - KATSO RAMODIA

Katso L. Ramodia is a passionate advocate for democracy and inclusive development across Botswana and Africa. With over nine years of experience in democratic engagement and civil society, she currently serves as the Women’s Commissioner for the African Union Student Platform, collaborating with women leaders across member states to advance gender equality and youth empowerment. Katso is also a trustee and board member at Women Lead Africa. 💪
