packing list for Scotland this weekend 🏴
If you’re heading to a common ride or festival this season, it’s all about respecting tradition while staying practical, polished, and prepared for whatever the Scottish weather throws your way. From saddle time to spa time, here’s what’s making it into my bag this weekend.
✨ Riding & main day essentials
• coat – classic, warm, and perfect for the occasion
• waistcoat & shirt – stylish, smart and comfortable
• tie and shirt pin
• beige jodhpurs – main day ready & they are super comfortable
• tall brown boots – for short legs like mine that also needs an extra inch around the calf Ariat gloves, missing in this picture but are my go too when wearing gloves 🧤
• skull cap for safety. I’m not a fan of peak caps + coloured silk caps. I’ve black, brown, navy & green 🖤🤎💙💚
✨ Extra riding fits & layers
• breeches – recently discovered this brand and love their breeches perfect for switching things up
• waterproof coat – because… Scotland ☔️
✨ The fun extras
• saddle flask – for those well-earned sips 🥃
✨ Don’t forget the little things
Bumbag, cash for tips, smart casual outfits, good footwear… and yes, swimwear for that post-ride spa & dinners at the fabulous 5star luxury if your joining an group this season ✨
A bottle of port, sloe gin & bubbles to toast the weekend… it would be rude not too 🥂🍾
All packed and ready to roll—the Scottish Borders comes alive in the most incredible way at this time of year. I feel genuinely honoured to be part of these historic traditions, riding alongside local communities and sharing the experience with international riders. It’s something truly special. Bring on the rides, the atmosphere, and a weekend to remember 🐎🔥
