Together with the Chapter of York, we present a new book celebrating one of the greatest surviving English works of art of the late medieval era.

: Rediscovering a Miraculous Narrative follows the life and miracles of St William of York, a controversial twelfth-century archbishop whose shrine within the Minster became the focus of a major medieval miracle cult. The modern conservation of the window, which was underpinned by ground-breaking historical research, has enabled the unravelling of its complex narrative and allowed the conserved glass to be reassembled correctly for the first time since the window’s creation. This remarkable conservation story has never previously been told.

A sister publication to our previous book. Hardback copies available exclusively from the York Minster Bookshop, paperback copies can be bought via the link in our bio.

As the world’s first, largest and most famous international school, Ecolint has been at the forefront of international education for 100 years. This magnificent, illustrated book, written alternately in English and French and produced to celebrate Ecolint’s centenary, gives an overview of the school’s inspired but fragile birth in 1924 and spectacular development: telling the story of the brilliant, colourful, sometimes eccentric visionaries who shaped the school, involving (amongst others) distinguished academics, philanthropists and human rights activists, a famous 20th Century philosopher (who became the University of Geneva’s first female professor after teaching in Ecolint for decades), a celebrated psychoanalyst, an avant-garde novelist and – in a cameo role – even Albert Einstein.

To celebrate on 8th March, we’re showcasing the stunning , an illustrated companion to the banners produced for the 2018 PROCESSIONS marches. Produced by arts charity Artichoke and commissioned by 14-18 NOW, the UK's arts programme for the First World War centenary, PROCESSIONS was a mass artwork to mark 100 years since the first women were allowed to vote in the UK.

This beautiful book is the first opportunity to see each of these banners up close in all their glorious detail and to observe a historic moment, when a mass artwork made by women in all their diversity transformed the central streets of our four capital cities. With contributions from Dame Helen Pankhurst, June Sarpong and Saoirse Monica Jackson, and many other collaborators, artists and participants from across the country, this fully illustrated book shows how art can both make and bring history alive.
