In Islam, rain is often seen as a blessing from Allah. There are several hadiths (sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) that highlight the significance of rain.
Here is one such hadith:
**"When it rains, say: 'O Allah, make it a beneficial rain.'"**
— **Sahih al-Bukhari** (Hadith 1034)
This hadith emphasizes asking Allah for the rain to be beneficial, as rain can be both a blessing and a test.
Another hadith from Sahih Muslim mentions:
**"The rain is a mercy from Allah."**
— **Sahih Muslim** (Hadith 897)
It shows that rain is considered a mercy and a sign of Allah’s grace, as it nourishes the earth, provides water for crops, and supports all forms of life.
Additionally, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also advised making supplications during the rain, as it is a time when prayers are more likely to be accepted.
