We live in tumultuous times

“Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
And to anoint the Most Holy.

“Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The street shall be built again, and the wall,
Even in troublesome times.

“And after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
Daniel 9:24-26

The beginning of sorrows has been set in motion

Once the process a woman in labour goes through has begun, it can’t be stopped until the child is born. And both tie up with the end time prophecies because it’s saying that once a series of things have begun to happen, they’re going to continue and become more intense until you get to the birth of the child which speaks of the second coming of Jesus the Messiah. It’s saying that you’re not going to stop them. And you know, Christians say they can pray and they can bind the devil and cast him out and stop these things from happening, but that’s not going to work. If the Bible says it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen. And I believe the thing has been set in motion. Therefore, we’ve got to expect that its fulfilment is going to take place.

It is used 85 times referring to Jesus in the New Testament. And it says specifically ‘the Son of Man’, not just ‘son of man’, ‘the Son of Man. That’s important.

What He does offer us is personal peace with God. And the personal peace with God involves our sins being forgiven, having the hope of eternal life, knowledge of God. If you have that peace, even if you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you can fear no evil because you know that you are on the victory side. We can have peace and assurance because we are on the victory side and we have a glorious future in the resurrection of the dead.
