BALLAD OF A SMALL PLAYER - PICTURE POST BY THE LOOK

In select cinemas from Friday 17th October, then streaming on Netflix from Wednesday 29th October!

It was fantastic to welcome Director Edward Berger, DOP James Friend BSC and their brilliant teams to The Look for the first time. Senior Colourist Andrew Daniel of course worked with Edward and James on 'All Quiet on the Western Front', and with Edward on 'Conclave' whilst at Goldcrest Post.

Thank you also to Post Supervisor Siobhan Boyes and Coordinator Flo Miller for their support and guidance throughout the post process.

THE GIRLFRIEND - PICTURE POST BY THE LOOK

We were delighted to welcome director and executive producer Robin Wright to The Look, as well as the brilliant Andrea Harkin, and DP's Mattias Nyberg & Paul Morris.

In this juicy psychological thriller, Laura (Robin Wright) has it all: a glittering career, a loving husband, and her prized son, Daniel. But her perfect life unravels when Daniel brings home Cherry (Olivia Cooke), a girlfriend who changes everything. Laura’s convinced Cherry is hiding something. Is she a manipulative social climber, or is Laura just paranoid? The truth is a matter of perspective.

The Grade was completed in 4K HDR with Thomas Urbye handling the first block, and Grace Weston working with Paul Morris on block two. Online was lead by Corey Marand in the Flame, with Ellie Bailey assisting remote from Cardiff.

2025 is continuing to be a brilliant year for The Look, having had the opportunity to work on some brilliant new projects, as well as our favourite repeat series!

Following the releases of 'We Live In Time', 'Miss Austen', 'A Cruel Love' and 'Gangs of London 3' earlier this year, next up was the hit Netflix series 'Department Q', directed by Scott Frank. 'The Gold' Series 2 was then released in June, following the success of the first series, also completed with us.

We then welcomed Lena Dunham's 'Too Much', released on Netflix in July. Also in July, came 'Mr. Bigstuff 2', starring Danny Dyer & Ryan Sampson in the hit Sky series, already touted for a season 3.

To close August out, it was brilliant to welcome Pulse Films back for 'Atomic', now showing on Sky & Now TV. We were also delighted to work on the Spike Lee-produced 'From Sidney, With Love', directed by East Elliott, which has been submitted to international film festivals.

FROM SIDNEY, WITH LOVE - PICTURE POST BY THE LOOK

We were delighted to assist with the picture post for this short film, directed by East Elliott and executive produced by Spike Lee.

It's a pleasure to share the beautiful poster and images for the film's submission to the Telluride Film Festival.

The film follows 9-year-old Rilla, who is convinced that she is Sidney Poitier’s daughter. From an otherwise all-white town in North Yorkshire, she runs away to London to meet her father at a screening of his new film, To Sir, With Love, following an argument with her older brother, Nick.

ATOMIC - PICTURE POST BY THE LOOK

Following the success of our collaboration on 'Gangs of London', Pulse Films return to The Look for 'Atomic', releasing today on Sky / Now TV.

It was brilliant to welcome Series Director Shariff Korver for the first time, following his work on shows including 'Temple' also for Sky. We also welcomed DOP Azul Serra, the man behind the brilliant Netflix biopic 'Senna' and 'A Small Light' for Disney +.

This brand-new Sky Original series is a dynamic and entertaining action-fuelled adventure, inspired by the non-fiction book Atomic Bazaar.

TOO MUCH - PICTURE POST BY THE LOOK

We greatly enjoyed working with Working Title for the first time on Lena Dunham's latest project, following the success of 'Girls'.

Too Much follows Jessica (Hack’s Megan Stalter), a workaholic New Yorker who, in the wake of a devastating breakup, heads across the pond only to meet her unexpected match in sleep-until-noon musician Felix (Landscapers Director, Will Sharpe). Over 10 episodes, Jess learns that London — and love — are less like Notting Hill than she thought.

DEPARTMENT Q - PICTURE POST BY THE LOOK

Following the success of The Queen's Gambit, showrunner Scott Frank returns with Department Q, an adaptation of the novels of the same name by Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen. The series revolves around Carl Morck, a former top-rated detective in Edinburgh assigned to a new cold case whilst wracked with guilt following an attack that left his partner paralysed and another police officer dead.

We were delighted to welcome Scott and his team to The Look for the first time, as well as working closely with DP David Ungaro AFC, using his eye for detail to bring the show to life.

Thank you to Leftbank Pictures for entrusting us with another of their brilliant series, following our work on the enjoyable Who is Erin Carter? and Three Pines.
