This is the one place to keep track of things I'm working on such as my online blog, illustration work and my YouTube Channel, check back to take a step into my world! I have no idea where Some Short Guy came from, think I was just looking for a username for PSN and somehow that popped into my head and the rest is history! I decided to use is as an alter ego of myself essentially and use it for my creative side, so I used the name for my YouTube Channel and then that branched off into my online blog, which in turn formed the illustration side. So it's a way of tying all my little projects together and I guess it's a way of expressing my inner nerd to share it with you guys, as if you've ever watched my videos or read my articles then you'll realise there's a lot in this world I am passionate and enthusiastic about! This is a way to keep you guys updated on what I'm up to and it's a place to have fun.

Well we got the announcement today and it's official!!

are going on tour for their 20th anniversary in March 2027 and are bringing along and who are also celebrating milestone anniversaries next year!!

This is definitely giving off the old Kerrang Tour/Taste Of Chaos days. Doesn't need to make sense stylistically and it's gonna be a fun time!!

Is anyone gonna be going to this?!

I'm so stoked and gonna aim to get a ticket for London!!

A new reaction video went up today and this one is something a little different but it's an awesome collaboration!! So I checked out the new Champions 2026 song called "If The Sun Burns Out Tonight" featuring of Bring Me The Horizon, of Spiritbox and Grabbitz!!

This is such a cool song that is a different musical style from what Oli and Courtney do for BMTH and Spiritbox but it is a great track. It's cool hearing two big names from the scene collaborating on a song like this for such a massive video game!

The song really suits Valorant and the music video was awesome. Makes me want to watch a series like what Riot Games did for Arcane with League of Legends!

I really like this song and it's got such a banging chorus and we even get Courtney's Spiritbox screams in there too. I hope these two bands collaborate on their respective bands in the future!

Oh man, I was not expecting to post this video today. Gutted when I saw this announcement from New Found Glory but sadly Chad Gilbert passed away in the early hours of today on 20th September 2026.

This is a tough one to swallow. The guy was battling cancer for the past 5 years and was the true definition of a fighter. He impacted so many people in the scene both bands and fans alike.

New Found Glory and Chad's wife posted the following statement:

"On the morning of September 20th, Chad Everett Gilbert passed away peacefully in his sleep. He left this world surrounded by friends and family and took his final breaths with his wife and mother by his side, just as he wished. We are devastated and shocked by how quickly he left us, yet so grateful for how peacefully and smoothly he went. The amount of visitors that crowded the hospital lobby at a moment’s notice is a testament to how beloved and cherished Chad was, and always will be. He was a legendary musician, but his favorite accomplishment was being a husband and father. His biggest dreams came true. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, his daughter, Lily, his mother, Jackie, and his brother, Brian.

“Chad’s guitar playing, songwriting, humor, and relentless drive helped shape New Found Glory for nearly three decades. Through more than a dozen albums, endless tours around the world, and more accolades than we ever could have imagined, Chad challenged all of us to grow as musicians, performers, and human beings. While we are devastated to lose him, we are so grateful for the incredible life he lived, the memories we shared, and the brotherhood we had. His influence will always be part of New Found Glory and his spirit will be felt on every stage we stand on, with every note we play.”

TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!! 😁

Off to London to see on their Tsunami Sea tour which wraps up the UK leg at Wembley Arena and I've been so stoked for this show for months!

Their biggest tour to date and it's crazy to think within a year they've gone from headlining Ally Palley to supporting Linkin Park at Wembley Stadium last summer, to now doing their first arena tour.

Spiritbox have become one of my favourite bands in the last 5 years and I can't wait to experience Tsunami Sea live. As when I saw them last February, it was just because the album dropped. So I can't wait to hear these songs live, plus the new one Mourning!

Heading off a bit earlier today as I got early entry to the venue so it's a well deserved Saturday off from filming and content and I can't wait to see them smash it tonight in London!!

Final video of the week went up today and this is one for the OG post hardcore kids. The comeback continues and they released a new song called "Just Be Honest" and THIS is peak Saosin right here!

Starting Over Again kicked off this new era but this song has seen them shift gears and go up a level. It feels like Saosin but leans more into the heavier side. Absolutely ripping guitar work, a banger of a chorus and we got Cove screaming again!!

I've had this in repeat and out of the two new songs, I think this is my favourite of the two. It's just gone up a level and everything in this song is what I love about Saosin and makes me Christmas happy that they're back.

You can really see the progression of the band from that first album to now and it has the potential to be their best body of work to date!

This new album is gonna be unreal when it eventually comes out!

Dude, what is happening this week?!?!

We've had an insane week of new music, festival announcements, awesome gigs and now there's this cryptic teaser going around that's been posted by AND ?!?!

I HAVE QUESTIONS!!!

Can you imagine it we're getting a Kerrang/Taste Of Chaos tour in 2027?!

There's an announcement coming on 22/09/26 3PM, UK time! So keep an eye out and I will do a follow up video!

Mid week reaction video went up today and seeing as I'm seeing on Saturday, it seemed fitting to check out their new song Mourning!

This is the first new song since Tsunami Sea was released last year, so this could be the start of the next Spiritbox era. This song is on the softer side which I think this band equally does as well as the heavy side!

To me, this feels like a combination of Deep End, Constance, Secret Garden with a little bit of The Void in there. Kinda feels like the love child of those songs. It's a stunning track, really beautiful lyrics and that chorus feels like a classic Spiritbox piece of writing.

A great song to start this new chapter and I can't wait to hear this live in London on Saturday!
