💜 A Question For Your Heart
Why is it so difficult to forgive yourself sometimes?

There are things we can sincerely regret and still struggle to release.

We may have asked Allah (SWT) for forgiveness. We may have tried to change. We may know that we cannot go back and undo what happened.

And yet, sometimes we continue carrying the person we used to be as though we are still required to punish ourselves for them.

But regret was never meant to keep us trapped forever.

A mistake can become a turning point.
A painful chapter can teach us something.
A fall can be followed by a return.

We cannot change yesterday, but we can bring what we learned from yesterday into the way we live today.

Perhaps part of healing is learning that remembering your past does not mean you have to remain there.

🌸 Have you ever found it easier to forgive someone else than to forgive yourself?

Some of the most beautiful du'as are the ones that remind us what we should ultimately be asking Allah (SWT) for.

This du'a asks for forgiveness, the removal of our misdeeds, and a righteous ending.

🌸 Transliteration
Rabbanā innanā samiʿnā munādiyan yunādī lil-īmāni an āminū bi-rabbikum fa-āmannā. Rabbanā faghfir lanā dhunūbanā wa kaffir ʿannā sayyiʾātinā wa tawaffanā maʿal-abrār.

🌸 Translation
“Our Lord! We have heard the caller to ˹true˺ belief, ˹proclaiming,˺ ‘Believe in your Lord ˹alone˺,’ so we believed. Our Lord! Forgive our sins, absolve us of our misdeeds, and join us with the virtuous when we die.”

🌸 Reference
Qur'an 3:193 | Surat Ali 'Imran

What a beautiful thing to ask Allah (SWT) for: forgiveness for our sins, cleansing from our misdeeds, and to be gathered with the righteous when we die.

May Allah (SWT) protect our emaan, forgive our shortcomings, and grant every one of us a righteous ending. Aameen Ya Rabbi 🤲🏼

🌸 Save this du'a so you can return to it and make it part of your personal du'a.

🌙 A gentle reminder for the beginning of a new Islamic month

Have you ever looked at your spiritual life and felt overwhelmed by everything you wanted to improve?

Perhaps you want to be more consistent with salah, spend more time with the Qur'an, make du'a more often, or simply feel closer to Allah (SWT) again.

When we focus on everything we haven't done, taking that first step can feel harder than it needs to be.

So, instead of asking yourself how you will change everything, ask: what is one sincere step I can take today?

You don't have to wait for life to become easier or for your emaan to feel stronger before you turn back to Allah (SWT).

Begin with what you can manage, ask Him for help, and keep returning to Him.

May Allah (SWT) place barakah in our efforts, strengthen our emaan, and make Jumada al-Ula a month of sincere steps towards Him. Aameen Ya Rabbi 🤲🏼💜

💜 A Question For Your Heart
What is something you're still asking Allah (SWT) to help your heart understand?

There are some things we can accept with our minds long before our hearts know how to make peace with them.

A door that closed.
A person we lost.
A path that changed.
A du'a that didn't unfold the way we imagined.

Sometimes we keep asking Allah (SWT), not because we doubt Him, but because our hearts are still trying to understand what our minds cannot.

And perhaps tawakkul isn't always about reaching the point where everything makes sense.
Sometimes it is saying, “I don't understand this, Ya Allah, but I trust that You do.”

We are not promised that every question will be answered in the way we hoped.
But we can keep bringing the questions to the One who already knows the whole story.

🌸 Is there something you're still asking Allah (SWT) to help your heart understand?

Sometimes the hardest part of a difficult situation is not knowing what to do next.

You may be praying for clarity.
You may be unsure which path to take.
You may be waiting for the way forward to become clear.

And in those moments, we can turn to Allah (SWT) with this beautiful Qur'anic du'a:

🌸 Arabic
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا

🌸 Transliteration
Rabbanā ātinā min ladunka raḥmatan wa hayyi' lanā min amrinā rashadā.

🌸 Translation
“Our Lord! Grant us mercy from Yourself and guide us rightly through our ordeal.”

🌸 Reference
Qur'an 18:10 | Surah Al-Kahf

The young men of the cave made this du'a when they sought Allah (SWT)'s mercy and guidance.

And what a beautiful thing to ask Allah (SWT) for when life feels uncertain.

Not simply for our circumstances to change.
But for His mercy.
For His guidance.
For Him to make our affair right.

There may be things in your life right now that you don't understand.

Decisions you don't know how to make.
Situations you don't know how to navigate.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you turn to Allah (SWT).

You can simply ask Him to guide you.

May Allah (SWT) grant us His mercy, guide us through every uncertainty, and lead us towards what is right and pleasing to Him. Aameen Ya Rabbi 🤲🏼

🌸 Save this du'a and return to it whenever your heart needs guidance and clarity.

There are some burdens we cannot simply walk away from.

We may have responsibilities we cannot put down, people we cannot stop caring about, situations we cannot immediately change, or questions we still don't have answers to.

And sometimes the du'a isn't, “Ya Allah, take this away.”
Sometimes it's:
“Ya Allah, help me carry this.”

Give me patience.
Give me strength.
Give me sabr when I feel like I have none left.
Help me keep going without allowing this hardship to pull my heart away from You.

Whatever you're carrying today, you can bring it to Allah (SWT).

💜 What are you asking Allah (SWT) to help you carry right now?

Sometimes the heart becomes tired from carrying things that no one else can see.

The worry.
The uncertainty.
The grief.
The responsibilities.
The unanswered questions.
The things we are trying so hard to be strong through.
And sometimes, all we can do is turn to Allah (SWT).

🌸 Arabic
رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ

🌸 Transliteration
Rabbanā wa lā tuḥammilnā mā lā ṭāqata lanā bih.

🌸 Translation
“Our Lord, do not burden us with what we cannot bear.”

🌸 Reference
Qur'an - Surah Al-Baqarah 2:286

There is something deeply comforting about this du'a.

It gives words to the heart when life feels too heavy.

We may not know how everything will unfold.
We may not know when the difficulty will end.
But we can always turn to Allah (SWT).

We can ask Him for help.
We can ask Him for strength.
We can ask Him for relief.
And we can place what we cannot carry into the hands of the One who knows exactly what we are going through.

If your heart is carrying something heavy today, don't feel that you have to find the perfect words.

Turn to Allah (SWT).
Even a quiet:
“Ya Allah, help me.”
is a turning towards Him.

May Allah (SWT) ease every burden upon our hearts, strengthen us through every difficulty, and grant relief to those carrying struggles known only to Him. Aameen Ya Rabbi 🤲🏼

🌸 Save this du'a and return to it whenever your heart feels overwhelmed.

If you truly believed it… would your life look different?

That question can be uncomfortable.
Because sometimes we know what we believe. We know what Allah (SWT) has taught us. We know the reminders we've heard again and again.

But there can still be a gap between what we know and how we live.

Allah (SWT) says:
“O believers! Be mindful of Allah and let every soul look to what ˹deeds˺ it has sent forth for tomorrow. And fear Allah, ˹for˺ certainly Allah is All-Aware of what you do.” (Qur'an 59:18)

So this month, don't try to change everything.

Just ask yourself:
🌸 What do I say I believe, but struggle to live out?
🌸 If I truly believed this, what would I do differently?

And then choose one thing to begin sending forward for tomorrow.

A deed.
A habit.
A response.
A return to Allah (SWT).

❓What is one thing you want to carry differently through October? 💗

It can be as simple as one word.

There are some things we can work towards.
Some things we can make du'a for.
Some things we can try our best to change.

And then there are things whose outcome is simply beyond our control.

That's where tawakkul becomes so important.

Not because we stop caring.
Not because we stop trying.

But because after doing what we can, we learn to place the outcome in the hands of the One who knows what we cannot see.

Allah (SWT) says:
"And whoever relies upon Allah, then He is sufficient for him." (Qur'an 65:3)

💜 A Question For Your Heart
What are you learning to leave with Allah (SWT)?

🌸 Your reflection may give another believer the courage to release something they've been carrying and place it back in Allah (SWT)'s hands, bi'idhnillah.

May Allah (SWT) strengthen our trust in Him, ease the things we cannot control, and grant us patience and peace while we wait for what He has written. Aameen Ya Rabbi 🤲🏼

There are things we can change around us.
And then there are things only Allah (SWT) can truly change within us.

The state of our hearts is one of them.

We may be able to change our routines, our surroundings and even our circumstances, but a heart that is struggling with resentment, pride, envy, fear or hardness needs something deeper.

It needs Allah (SWT).

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to make a beautiful, longer du'a in his prayer in which he asked Allah (SWT) for steadfastness, gratitude, beautiful worship, a sound heart and a truthful tongue.

Part of that du'a was:

🌸 Arabic
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ قَلْبًا سَلِيمًا وَلِسَانًا صَادِقًا

🌸 Transliteration
Allahumma innī as’aluka qalban salīman wa lisānan ṣādiqan.

🌸 Translation
“O Allah, I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue.”

🌸 Reference
Sunan an-Nasa’i 1304

What a beautiful thing to ask Allah (SWT) for.

Not simply a life that looks good from the outside.

But a heart that is sound.
A tongue that is truthful.
And a relationship with Allah (SWT) that is sincere when no one else is watching.

May Allah (SWT) purify our hearts, protect them from what distances us from Him, and make us people of sincerity, truthfulness and beautiful worship. Aameen Ya Rabbi 🤲🏼

🌿 Save this du'a for your heart, and share it with someone who may need the reminder.
