Hello Africa! Hello South Africa 🇿🇦
Another day to celebrate an African queen. Here’s a brief profile of queen Thenjiwe
Thenjiwe Moseley is one of Africa’s most celebrated comedians, admired for her razor-sharp wit, relatable storytelling, and bold social commentary. A Law graduate from the University of London and London metropolitan university, she traded the courtroom for the comedy stage – and quickly built a reputation as an international powerhouse.
Her comedy career spans over a decade across multiple continents. Thenjiwe has performed to sold-out audiences in the United Kingdom, United States, Nigeria, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Dubai, and South Africa, proving her universal appeal and cementing her status as one of Africa’s finest comedy exports.
Off-stage, Thenjiwe continues to excel in the UK as a Customer Ambassador for British Rail, where she brings warmth, professionalism, and presence to a public-facing role. She recently completed the Customer Ambassador Apprenticeship Programme at Fareham and South Hampshire Colleges with Distinctions, reinforcing her commitment to service excellence.
In 2024, Thenjiwe was selected as one of the mentors, a prestigious YouTube initiative supporting female creators across Sub-Saharan Africa. As a mentor to 30 young women creators, she shares her nearly decade-long experience in digital content, offering guidance, motivation, and creative strategy to the next generation.
On screen, she is best known for her breakout series Judge Thenjiwe Khambule, which became a viral sensation across Southern Africa. She followed that success with Meet the Khambules and a variety of digital sketches that have collectively garnered millions of views on YouTube and Facebook.
Now, headlining the Thenjiwe Unplugged Comedy Tour, she brings together some of the continent’s finest comedic talent—starting in Durban and extending to Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Europe. This is more than a comedy show; it’s a celebration of African humour, cultural pride, and world-class entertainment, spearheaded by a woman who continuously breaks boundaries and builds bridges.
Thenjiwe is not just a comedian, she’s a trailblazer, educator, and cultural ambassador whose work continues to inspire laughter, connection, and pride wherever she performs.
The End!
