"April 6th
Garth Erin Feeney, 28 years old, North Tower 106th/107th floor
Garth Erin Feeney was born on April 6, 1973 in California. He had two brothers, Michael and Matthew. He lived in New York City, NY. Garth attended and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Business. Garth was someone who fit a lot of jobs and activities into his life. In addition to his work with Data Synapse, he had established a program for poor children, tutored an illiterate adult, worked for campus security, was a dorm counselor and a representative on the university’s Board of Trustees, and worked for Habitat and Humanity. He was also a rock climber, scuba diver, kayaker, and in-line skater. He would skate through Central Park whenever he had the chance. Garth’s mother, Judy, said, “He was one of those people who did everything and anything.” Garth was also described by his friends and family as friendly, passionate, gentle, and special.
Garth worked as director of corporate development for Data Synapse in Manhattan. On the morning of September 11, 2001, Garth attended the Risk Waters conference at Windows on the World, the restaurant located on the 106th and 107th floors of the World Trade Center’s North Tower. At 8:46 a.m., Garth was at Windows on the World when Flight 11 struck the North Tower, leaving both the restaurant’s floors above the impassable impact zone. Sadly, no one working at or attending Windows on the World survived the attack, including Garth. Though his life was unfairly taken on September 11th, Garth’s love, accomplishments, and memories are forever cherished and remembered. His life and legacy are never forgotten.
WE WILL NEVER FORGET. ❤️🕊"
