The Travel Media Awards, established in 2015, is the UK’s premier awards event dedicated to recognising excellence in travel media. Now in its 11th year, the awards celebrate the very best in journalism, photography, and broadcasting, with an expanded range of 24 categories for 2025, including the brand-new Cruise Travel Writer of the Year and Content Creator of the Year awards. Each category is j

udged by a distinguished panel of travel industry professionals and senior editors, ensuring a rigorous and fair selection process. At least 25% of judges are new each year, and no judge reviews the same category annually. Entrants can apply for as many of the 24 categories as they wish, showcasing their work and gaining recognition from industry leaders and peers. This year's event will honour excellence through a glittering ceremony held at the Pan Pacific London hotel on 13 October. Join us as we celebrate excellence in travel media.

Our Story

The Travel Media Awards is an awards event created to celebrate excellence in the travel media sector. Entries for the 2020 awards are now open. Deadline for submission is 18 May 2020. The awards are open to all travel writers, broadcasters and photographers, making the event a true barometer of the travel media sector. Submissions will be judged by both senior travel industry figures alongside some of the UK’s leading travel writers. The awards will cover a wide range of areas, from national newspaper travel sections (separate categories for tabloid and broadsheet) through to the increasingly influential travel blogging sector and trade magazines, to name but a few. The Travel Media Awards 2018 ceremony will take place on Monday 19 October 2020 at the Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel. Travel Media Awards are owned and operated under a joint venture agreement between Travega and APL Media Limited.
