Handling It
Women are pros at it. Men are very good. But women are at another level.
If you know me, you’d know I run a business selling online courses amongst everything else that brings one towards a life beyond extraordinary, and with that, I deal with quite a few softwares to keep my business running with automation.
This literally allows me to make money whilst I sleep.
In the course of running a multi-million dollar business, I must admit there are moments of high stress whilst most of it good, these high stress moments still happen and are very real.
Today, was one such day.
My landing pages stopped being accessible since ??? and I was not informed nor aware.
This caused impeccable fury within my body as my blood pressure rose and my dog jumped from fright from my heart beat banging the wall with rage.
I KNEW in all of my intelligent mind that this was not my fault, yet I could not control my anger and immediately decided that I was going to go old school and stop running this business.
I would pull all my websites down to place in pdfs and start sharing the traditional way, word of mouth, and on Social Media.
It takes more work but what is the point in me paying thousands every month for software that jumps without warning?! How much money goes into the drain??
And then I realised…
This is what most people don’t see behind entrepreneurship.
The overflowing of emotions. Bursting of pressure. The reality of uncertainty. The confrontation of moments where everything inside of you wants to burn it all down and walk away.
People often think success is about strategy, intelligence, and talent.
But so much of success depends on your EMOTIONAL CAPACITY.
The ability to feel frustration, anger, fear, disappointment… and still choose not to make permanent decisions from temporary emotions.
So instead of deleting everything and disappearing into the jungle somewhere, I handled it.
I did not do it perfect nor even graciously!
But consciously with a fast adjusted brain rewire.
This is the real flex of entrepreneurship and leadership.
We do sometimes lose it….. from all the many failures.
