🧶✨ First session of my next Children’s Blanket Making Workshop! ✨🧶

What a fantastic first session! The children were absolutely brilliant. 💕

The children who were new to blanket making picked up the skill so quickly, and the children who have attended one of my workshops before remembered what to do almost straight away. It was lovely to see them getting stuck in and helping each other too. 🥰

I’m so proud of every single one of them! ❤️ Watching their confidence grow and seeing them create something with their own hands is one of my favourite parts of running these workshops.

Well done everyone — I can’t wait to see how your blankets grow over the next few sessions! 🧶💗

🧶✨ First session of my next Children’s Blanket Making Workshop! ✨🧶

What a fantastic first session! The children were absolutely brilliant. 💕

🎀 Another custom make heading off as a birthday present! 🎀

This one was made for a lovely young lady, and I was given just two instructions — pink and cream, and I could choose the stitch. 🧶💕

I decided to go for the broken herringbone stitch, because I absolutely love the effect and the gorgeous texture it creates. It gives the blanket that little something extra without being too fussy. 😍

I really hope the birthday girl loves it as much as I loved making it! 💕🎂

There’s something extra special about making a handmade gift that’s been chosen just for someone. 🥰

✈️🏡 HOME TIME! 🏡✈️

We fly home this evening, which means all my macramé stash is packed up and ready to make the journey home with me! 🧶💕

I set myself a little holiday challenge… 5 bag charms/wristlets a day, 30 in total.

Well… I may have got slightly carried away! 😂

✨ I MADE 50! ✨

For a completely new craft to me, I can honestly say it has become seriously addictive! 😍 I’ve loved sitting and making these while on holiday, and I’m already planning lots more ready for the Christmas fairs. 🎄🎁

And of course, I’ve spotted some lovely new ideas while I’ve been away too… 👀 So watch this space because there are definitely more macramé makes coming!

I completely forgot to post yesterday’s makes! 🙈

I only managed to make 2 wristlets yesterday, but these ones definitely took their time! 😂

They’re made using a half square knot, which creates a gorgeous spiral effect. I then made a second spiral — so effectively making two wristlets — and twisted them into each other.

The finished effect is absolutely gorgeous! 😍 I love how the two spirals wind around each other.

They do take quite a bit longer to make than my other wristlets though, so I definitely won’t be churning these out by the dozen! 😂

But sometimes the ones that take the longest are the ones that turn out the prettiest. 💕🧶

I’m really enjoying experimenting with different knots and seeing what effects I can create!

It’s been a slightly different day on holiday today as we’ve had a poorly little girl 🤒💗

Nothing too serious thankfully — lots of sleep, plenty of rest and she’s now feeling well enough to head down for our evening meal, so hopefully she’ll be back to her usual self tomorrow for our last day of the holiday. 🥰

On the plus side… I’ve managed to make another 16 wristlets! 😂🧶

So although I haven’t exactly had the holiday day I planned, my crafting stock is looking very healthy! I’m going to be VERY well stocked for the Richmond Christmas Market on November 29th 🎄🎅

But if you don’t want to wait until Christmas… 👀

It’s been a slightly different day on holiday today as we’ve had a poorly little girl 🤒💗

☀️🇪🇸 Crafting in the Spanish sunshine! 🇪🇸☀️

This morning we headed off to Alcúdia Old Town Market, so my crafting had to wait until this afternoon… it’s currently over 30°C here and definitely too hot to be sitting outside with my yarn! 😂🥵

So, back in the room it was, and my little helper was definitely feeling tired after this morning’s adventures 😴💕 But she still managed to help me film today’s make — she’s becoming quite the little camera woman! 🎥😂

Today I’ve been making 4-colour braided wristlets! 🌈🧶

I have to admit, when I first started making them I was convinced I preferred the 2-colour ones… but now they’re finished, I absolutely LOVE the effect of the four colours together! 😍

I think I might have a new favourite! ❤️
