Dramatic Forest Fire Rescue: Firefighter Pulls Deer and Fawn to Safety. Northern California – August 14, 2025. During the peak of the recent Ridge Creek wildfire, body-worn camera footage captured a moment of pure compassion amidst the destruction. As a wall of flames surged toward the only evacuation route, a firefighter from Engine Company 4 noticed a mother deer and her terrified fawn struggling on the scorched asphalt. The animals, blinded by thick smoke and disoriented by the intense heat, ran directly toward the safety of his idling truck. In a selfless act, the firefighter leaned over the tailgate of the transport vehicle, calmly guiding the fawn into the bed before hoisting the exhausted mother up alongside it. Seconds later, the truck roared away, speeding down the fire-lined corridor as the surrounding pine forest ignited into a towering inferno. Both animals were later released unharmed in a clearing far from the blaze. This video is created with AI, and the story is for your entertainment.
