This week’s Question of the Week 🤔💭

How can a beginner investor diversify to minimise risk?

There are a few simple ways to spread your money across different sectors and regions. Multi-asset or global index funds give you exposure to a mix of investments in one go. If you’d rather let someone else do the heavy lifting, most providers offer ready-made options where they pick and manage investments for you.

Whatever approach you choose, the key is to stay invested for the long term. Giving your money seven years or more helps it ride out market ups and downs and grow steadily over time.

This week’s Question of the Week 🤔💭

Is it still a good idea to name your children as beneficiaries of your pension?

From April 2027, pensions will be included in your estate for Inheritance Tax. That means leaving your pension to your children could lead to a 40% tax charge.
