Talk about an expensive round! Getting hit with an £80 fine for a glass valued at just 70p represents a staggering 11,328% penalty. That has to be the most expensive pint glass in North Yorkshire history. Crime truly doesn't pay, especially when bail is involved!

Standing along the Broadway, the imposing building at 142 Broadway, West Ealing holds centuries of local history. Originally operating as a coaching inn called the Old Hat, it served as a key stopping point for mail coaches travelling between London and Oxford.

​Rebuilt over the years and long known as the Half-Way House, it earned its name by sitting almost precisely halfway between London and Uxbridge. While the building no longer pulls pints today (having since been converted into a hotel), its striking exterior remains a grand reminder of West London's rich coaching history.
