Playing games in your sessions either for warming up or at the end of the sessions is a fantastic way to get and keep engagement and focus through your lessons.

In today's video I teach you a game we use regularly for key stage one students. Catch, Communicate and Pass, this is a great game for starting your session helping the students switch on and focus into the session. It is also a great way to get students to engage with other students that they may not generally speak to and learn each others names.

When teaching or coaching sport making drills fun and competitive games is a fantastic way of increasing engagement from your students.

In today's video I teach you how to do a footwork game, having the students maintain their boxing shape moving around and then having to stay out the way of the one trying to tag them. The students enjoy this drill, find it competitive and think they are playing a game. However in reality they are doing a skill development drill which is adding to their skillset. Practising the basics over and over is key to development in any sport!

In this video I am showing you the tutorial video from my upcoming Boxing In Schools Masterclass Online CPD Courses.
