7 out of 10 motorcyclists use this petrol station do so without
paying!!!
I pulled into this petrol station in Stalybridge today, I’ve used it for a number of years, I pulled up as normal turned off the bike started to pump fuel after dispensing £3.21 of fuel the pump stopped.
my grandson who was riding pillion went into the petrol station
and was told, that we have to pay first if you’re on a motorcycle,
I went into the petrol station, and it was confirmed, I had to pay
first. I said, “I don’t know how much fuel I’m going to put in” the gentleman looked extremely confused, so I gave him a £20 note, went back to the bike and filled it, then return to collect my change the gentleman insisted that it was only motorcycles and most motorcyclists were thieves, that 7 out of 10 don't pay...
I was shocked to say the least, left wondering if this was
the case?
As it turns out, Crime figures for fuel theft in Tameside show most
were carried out by small vans, there was no mention of
motorcycles, nor could I find any real information saying there
was an outbreak of motorcyclist committing crimes, few stories
regarding youngsters on scooters and small motorbikes, with
balaclavas and no number plates, could it really be a case of
mistaken identity, we were riding a Harley-Davidson with
number plates, we had helmets, if anyone should be made to
pay for their fuel first, going off the crime figures, it would be small

I do believe on reflection that I am the victim of bikecist.
I did not know that was a thing :- prejudice against motorcyclist.
discrimination against motorcyclist.
I asked a few questions with illegal friend of mine who said there needed to be prior notice that I should have been informed at the pump if that was the case, and they did not serve motorcyclist until they have paid, he said he would contact me back on Monday! as he felt like I had a case against the garage, I kid you not this world gets stranger every day!
other than that we had an absolutely brilliant time, thanks too Stalybridge motorcycle club and a couple of others....
