It's a mixed bag today! I'm kicking off this morning with an animation session for a much-loved children's title (will tell you all about it when I can!), and this afternoon I'm voicing ads for Maserati. Va-va-vrooom!

This afternoon I'm giving a short presentation on my research to the new Post Grad Research cohort at RNCM - Royal Northern College of Music. Excited to meet them!

Ever have one of those days where you think you've really got to focus and get your act together? Yep, that's one of those days.

I'm using today to review different aspects of my work with a critical eye. What's working, what's not, which aspects are beyond my control...what am I enjoying the most...what am I most looking forward to...what scares me the most?? Which parts of my work offer the most potential for professional and personal growth?

Wish me luck!

Starting the day recording some compelling ads for a nutrition brand - genuinely tempted to try it! Advertising works, kids!

Had my PhD review today at RNCM - Royal Northern College of Music! I'm now past the halfway point! Trying to savour every moment. Doing my PhD is such a precious, wonderful experience.

I'm taking it steady today. I have a bunch of commercials to voice but I'm hoping to get out for a walk later. This autumn sunshine is too good to miss!

Today I'm working at RNCM - Royal Northern College of Music on a project with National Trust. I've composed some music for an immersive visitor experience for a historic property. This afternoon we're recording the music with the brilliant baroque flautist Daniel Lappin, and the little dramatic scenes with a bunch of actors. I can't wait to put the soundscapes together!

A beautiful send-off from the BBC Radio 3 team! Yesterday was my last day on Saturday Breakfast. Thank you, team. ❤️

Today’s my last Saturday Breakfast on BBC Radio 3, as production of the show transfers to London.

I’ve loved every minute – working with a brilliant production team, sharing our happy, relaxed studio with listeners, and bringing some of the world’s most beautiful music to the nation (and beyond!).

I’m proud of what we achieved together: growing the audience for the show, and Radio 3 was named Station of the Year at the Arias – the Oscars of the radio world.

Most of all, it’s been a joy and a privilege to spend Saturday mornings with you, enjoying special musical moments together. I’ll miss it deeply, but I’m so grateful for the adventure, and for the time we’ve spent side by side.

Thank you for listening.
