Spider Kitten are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. They're marking the occasion in fine style with new album God Don't Sleep, which is out in the world today. 🎉

"It's a record full of disorientating, crushing grooves from another multiverse" is Musipedia Of Metal's take on it, and I can only agree. I'm especially fond of the epic title track which, to my ears, might be the best thing Chi and the lads have ever committed to tape. 😎

What a remarkable band they are. I hope you find time to listen. 🤟

Have a great weekend! 😘

"Dense atmospherics and softly crooned vocals whisper madness into your brain, which does little to prepare you for the fuzzed-out hammer blow of the sludge riffing to come." 😈

So said The Sleeping Shaman, in their review of Spider Kitten's God Don't Sleep album. Your chance to find out if that's an accurate description is right now: ahead of the album's release on Friday, it's streaming in full on The Sleeping Shaman webisphere. 👌

Get it in your ears. Hope that title track blows your mind. 🤟

Happy Wednesday all. 😘

Happy anniversary to Voidlurker. Their Loathe For Life EP was released a year ago today. 🎉

Brad, Andrew and Mitch's Iommi-worshipping, crushingly heavy doom gets me every single time I play it. 😎

If you have as much of a soft spot for this band as I do, keep your ears and eyes open this Halloween. New riffs incoming. 😈

Have a great weekend. 🤟

Bit late, due to needing time to recover (my dignity, as well as my sore feet and back 😉), but thanks to everyone who came to APF Fest last weekend. It was a... big night. 😁

Huge amounts of love to Desert Storm, Gandalf the Green, WALL, A Horse Called War, Tides Of Sulfur, NXMAD, Trevor's Head and Praetorian for being amazing, and to the Rebellion Manchester team for organising an awesome day. 😘

Next up from APF will be Spider Kitten's God Don't Sleep album, landing 2 weeks today. This weekend I will mostly packing tees, tapes and CDs ready to ship 'em out to you. Its a brilliant album. Can't wait for you to hear it. 🤙

Happy Friday all. 😎

Happy Friday all. Time for some new Spider Kitten riffs. 😁

Fast Queen, the second single from forthcoming album God Don't Sleep, is out today on all streaming services with a vid on YouTube. 👌

It opens with an engine turning over and doesn't let up from there: shouted verses riding the riff, harmonies taking over for the chorus, the whole thing a full-on garage rock banger. It comes apart at the end in a wig-out of squealing feedback. Just lovely. 😎

On the streamers you’ll find a cool b-side: a lush cover of The Grateful Dead's Candyman. 😍

Get it in your ears and eyes. 😘

APF FEST 2026 is just over 4 weeks away. 🎉

Can't wait to see Desert Storm, Gandalf the Green, The Brothers Keg, A Horse Called War, Tides Of Sulfur, NXMAD, Trevor's Head and Praetorian at Rebellion Manchester. I know I'm biased, but that's a spicy lineup. 😎

Plus the first play of the new Spider Kitten album, God Don't Sleep, 3 weeks before its release. 👌

Hope to see some of our there. 😘

Spider Kitten have dropped new single and video God Don’t Sleep today. 🎉

It’s taken from the album of the same name, and will give you a flavour of what’s to come when that lands later this year: big, fat, pregnant doom riffs; rolling drums, 3-part harmonies. 😎

On Spotify and all streaming sites it comes with an amped-up B-side: a rampant cover of the Eagles Victim of Love. 😈

Spider Kitten are unique. The forthcoming album is sublime. Can’t wait for you to hear it. Get the single in your ears. 🤟

Happy Friday to all our . 😘

Happy release day to Swamp Coffin. Their new single 'Everything Is Nothing' is out in the world today, along with the official video. 🤟

It's their first new music since 2024's Drowning Glory, and it arrives as part of the band's ongoing celebration of Ten Bastard Years of Swamp Coffin. A decade in, the Rotherham trio sound more intense and furious than they ever have. 😎

There's a new album on the way too - more than likely early next year - but 'Everything Is Nothing' should cleanse your palate for now. Get it in your ears. 😈

Happy Thursday all. 😘
