This video shows some of the things that happen whilst we are on-air.

Its also a great example of what happens when the sun comes out just before you go live!

BBC's Morning Live has a studio surrounded with windows on 2 sides. This provides a lovely backdrop of the Manchester cityscape, but on days like Wednesday (shown in the video), it can make it difficult to predict the weather, and adjust the lighting and blinds accordingly!

The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures

Andy Stagles has been the Lighting Director for the lectures for the past 14 years and its usually our last job of the year before Christmas.

This year was a bit different because Andy was the Lighting Director for the BBC's Midnight mass that was broadcast live on Christmas eve.

We did this earlier on in the year - really pleased with it. The first track had a cold soft look and the second track needed to look bright and sunny.
