Russia launched “a series of air strikes” in Syria early on Sunday as rebels moved south, according to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR). A teenager has died, and another is in critical condition following a reported motorbike crash. A 17-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene in Woodchurch, Wirral. Merseyside Police said they were alerted around 6:25 pm on Saturday about two males falling off a motorbike at the junction of Hoole Road and Grass Wood Road.
