Things you’ll never catch me offering at Bekson Social:

Oil changes. I don’t even know where the oil goes.

Spanish lessons. Hola is about as far as we’re getting.

Lip filler. I could make your lips look bigger in Photoshop, but that’s the absolute extent of my qualifications.

I do, however, know how to take a good photo, create content that doesn’t make your business look boring, and give you something to post other than ā€œHappy Friday!ā€ on a Canva graphic.

We all have our talents.

Mine just happen to be significantly less useful if your car breaks down. x

Your business has a face, so make sure people remember it. šŸ“ø

People don’t just buy into a business, they buy into the people behind it. Your personality, your story, your expertise and the way you show up all matter.

That’s exactly what a branding shoot is about, we create a bank of professional content that still feels like you, and gives your business a face people can recognise, connect with and trust.

Your brand deserves more than a logo, it also deserves to be seen.

If you’ve been debating getting some photos, send me a message and let’s make your brand more you šŸ“øšŸ¤

This may be a slightly vulnerable post for me, but I think transparency matters.

I create content for businesses for a living, and I think there can sometimes be this assumption that because it’s my job, every shoot is effortless. That I walk in knowing exactly what I’m doing, nail every shot, know every pose and never question myself.

That couldn’t be further from the truth šŸ˜‚

Every single content shoot teaches me something. I try something new, I figure out what works, I figure out what doesn’t. I learn how different people feel comfortable in front of the camera, what makes them laugh, what brings their personality out and how to capture a business in a way that actually feels like them.

And I think that’s something we forget when we’re looking at other people online.

Nobody wakes up amazing at what they do. You get good by starting before you feel completely ready. By trying things, getting some things wrong, learning and doing it better next time.

I’m still learning. I hope I always am.

So if social media feels scary, if you hate being in front of the camera, or you’re comparing your beginning to somebody else’s five years in… just start.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing to give it a go.

And if you need someone there to make the whole thing feel a little less scary, that’s quite literally what I’m here for šŸ¤

There’s something about capturing a room full of people doing something they genuinely enjoy šŸ¤

Spent the morning photographing this makeup masterclass and these are the kind of photos I love. People actually doing, learning, laughing, creating. No awkward posing, just the day as it happened.

If you’re putting on an event, you should be able to enjoy actually running it without thinking ā€œsh*t, I need to get some photos of thisā€ every five minutes šŸ˜‚

That’s where I come in šŸ“ø

Event coverage is officially one of my favourite things to shoot.

In the words of Dolly Parton…

ā€œFind out who you are and do it on purpose.ā€

I never envisioned my life being what it is today. I never envisioned owning my own business, I never envisioned doing what I do, and I never envisioned being a single mum raising the most incredible, darling little boy.

But here I am.

Life has gone wrong more times than I can count. I’ve failed, I’ve made mistakes, I’ve trusted the wrong things, taken the wrong turns and had moments where I genuinely didn’t know what came next.

But ā€œstorms make trees take deeper roots.ā€

And I think mine are pretty deep now.

Every time I fall, I get back up. Every time something doesn’t work, I learn. Every time life changes the plan, I make another one.

Because this is the life I want, and this is the life I will live.

I get to spend my days meeting people who have built something of their own. I hear their stories, learn about their businesses, create with them, laugh with them, build bonds with them and watch so many of them go from clients to people I genuinely care about.

Sometimes I’m stood behind my camera during a branding shoot and I genuinely have that little moment of… this is my life. This is actually what I get to do.

I can’t really put into words how that feels.

ā€œIf you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.ā€

And there’s definitely been some fu***ng rain šŸ˜‚

But I wouldn’t change the person it’s made me.

This wasn’t the life I envisioned.

Somehow, it’s becoming better. šŸ¤

Before you start posting everything from your content shoot, give each photo a purpose.

Which part of your business does it support? What could you teach alongside it? Could it sell a service? Could you use it for a story, a carousel or a Reel cover?

Your photos don’t need to explain the post either. Sometimes their job is simply to stop someone scrolling long enough to read what you have to say.

A good bank of content should last you WAY longer than the week you receive it.

Plan it then repurpose it. Get your money’s worth out of it!!

And pleaseeee don’t spend money on a content shoot just to let 90% of the photos die in your camera roll 😭 (yes this may not be good for my business but I CARE)

Book that content shoot šŸ“ø

Because you don’t need another month of thinking ā€œI really need to sort my content out.ā€

Give me a few hours with you and I’ll give you a bank of photos, videos, reels and behind-the-scenes content that actually feels like your business.

No balancing your phone on whatever you can find. No filming the same clip 14 times. No getting to posting day and realising you’ve got absolutely nothing to use.

You show up, do what you do best and I’ll capture the rest.

Basically… book the content shoot. Your business will thank you šŸ™šŸ¼
