🎅Herne Bay seafront turned festive last Sunday as Pilgrim’s Hospices brought the community together for its much-loved Santas on the Run fundraiser 👟.

Bathed in winter sunshine, more than 1,100 Santas filled the promenade for what is known as the jolliest jog of the year.

The event raised vital funds, helping Pilgrim’s Hospices continue to support the next local family in need of compassionate care.

Smiles, cheers and seasonal spirit were on show throughout the morning, proving once again the power of community generosity. ❤️

Did you see the Santas?

👶💙 A story of hope from Ashford’s NICU

Hospital teams at the William Harvey Hospital have been praised after caring for baby Kilian, born more than four months early at 23 weeks.

Weighing just 600g at birth, he has spent the past 10 weeks in neonatal intensive care.

His mum shared her experience for a festive charity video supporting East Kent Hospitals Charity and its Tiny Toes campaign.

With Kilian now thriving and gaining strength, his family hopes to be reunited at home in the New Year.

🌱 Good news for Medway as the Deangate Community Parkland project continues to take shape in Hoo. The £1million scheme will deliver improved access, new walking routes, wildlife habitats and learning opportunities for visitors. 🐦🌳 Funded through developer contributions and National Lottery Heritage support, the park will offer at least 43 hectares of open space. Recent tree and acorn planting by volunteers and scout groups highlights the strong community spirit behind the project, with a formal opening expected in 2026.
