The town was transformed into a sea of pirate costumes, and celebration as the Ramsgate Pirates Festival brought colour, fun, and adventure to the streets.

🎢
A colourful parade made its way through the town, drawing crowds to the Royal Harbour. Families, performers, and community groups took part, dressed as swashbuckling pirates, captains, and sea characters.

What a wonderful celebration of local community, bringing smiles, entertainment, and a touch of pirate magic to the town.

πŸŒΉπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Medway Honours Fallen Falklands Hero

A powerful moment of remembrance unfolded at Holy Trinity Church in Twydall as the Falklands Ride of Respect visited Medway. Veterans, bikers, standard bearers, and local residents gathered to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 🏍️

The tribute focused on Corporal Andrew McIlvenny, a member of Medway's own community who was killed aboard RFA Sir Galahad on 8 June 1982.

Forty-four years later, growing numbers continue to take part, ensuring the courage and sacrifice of those who served are remembered for generations to come. ❀️

The proposed development includes a modern public convenience building with accessible facilities, improved public spaces, enhanced maintenance access, and a biodiverse green roof designed to blend into the coastal landscape. 🌿

The investment is intended to improve the visitor experience at one of Kent’s most popular seaside destinations while respecting the character of the seafront.
