We went back to Costco!

Iā€™m counting this as a holiday activity because we mainly went to try the samples and buy fun stuff that we saw - but should I bring it back?! I miss it so much (and seriously, some things are so much cheaper here!)

I drove to our accommodation, around North Wales, and home againā€¦..and only used half a tank!

Iā€™ve recently been looking at new cars / the next car but time and time again come back to how economical my car is. I get HUNDREDS of miles to a tank, and Iā€™m spending around Ā£40 a month on fuel. Itā€™s actually ridiculous.

Iā€™ll forever dream of a Volvo XC90 (literally as soon as I can afford one Iā€™m buying one) but for now Iā€™m going to run my C4 into the ground and will cry the day it dies.

Slow cooker chicken stock!

One of the easiest ā€˜zero wasteā€™ things Iā€™be been doing recently to try to become more sustainable.

I use whatever veggies I have in the house and whatever herbs are in my cupboard to make a stock to be used in pies, stews and gravy. This can be done for any meat bones - lamb, chicken, turkey, beefā€¦.the list is endless! No need to be buying stock cubes šŸ™‚

Laundry straight after a holiday just hits different šŸ˜

Iā€™m changing my laundry detergent! I have a video on this coming, but essentially I had to use this persil stuff whilst on holiday and I FELL IN LOVE. It smells INCREDIBLE and it got 3 week old suncream stains out of my white top. Itā€™s a winner for me and I think this is going to be my new go to.

Itā€™s pretty pricey though. Any recommendations for REALLY good detergents that smell incredible, clean well, and get out heavy stains?

Ā£50 a week food shop!

I did this food shop whilst on holiday so I wasnā€™t able to do my usual ā€˜fridge frugallyā€™ and check the fridge/freezer beforehand but I KNOW I have stuff in there that I can use so Iā€™ll be making it work this week and seeing how I go. Stuck to my Ā£50 a week budget though!

Straight back from holiday and into my normal budgeting - weā€™ve got to save for the next holiday!

AD Back to school ready with Derbion!

I think Iā€™ve found the ultimate hack for getting back to school ready stress-free - do it at Derbion! Full of all the shops you know and love, youā€™ll be able to get everything you need under one roof - and when trying to decide which shoes to get becomes too much thereā€™s adventure golf, the cinema, and even bowling to enjoy!

Hungry? Derbion has that too with a food court full of your favourites as well as restaurants like and . This place really does have it all ā€“ shopping, fun activities plus parking, toilets, changing places and even play areas!

North Wales Day 7 - The final Day!

The last day is always spent doing something close to home so that we can spend time in the afternoon/evening pre-packing and getting everything ready for travelling back. In our case, we needed to have left the caravan by 10am which is no mean free with 4 kids, so I made a good start on loading up the car and getting the place clean before we headed off on the last day of our adventures.

A waterfall was where we ended up! Iā€™d wanted to see a waterfall all week and this one is no joke. Dyserk Waterfall I think it was called, and we explored the forest walk behind it too. Stopped for a two rounds of coffee at The Red pub because the owner was so lovely and also shared some cake and then we headed back to the caravan site for a two hour swimming slot and playing with our friends until the wee hours.

A perfect last day ā¤ļø
