PitchBook reveals that in 2023, all-women teams secured only 1.8% of the total venture capital pool. Mixed-gender teams received 15.6% of funds, while a staggering 82.6% went to all-male teams.

Today, Fish Legal has launched the campaign. They are asking anyone who cares about healthy rivers in the UK to support their nationally important legal case against the Government and Environment Agency. What began as a local fight by Pickering anglers to bring fish back to the polluted waters of the Costa Beck has now become a national test case to ensure no river is left behind.

Fish Legal fought long and hard through the courts to open-up the environmental impact of the privatised water industry to direct public scrutiny back in 2015. Fish Legal has now done the same with private companies operating in the energy sector who appear reluctant to reveal the impact of their activities on the environment.

In the case of Hinkley Point C, EDF could jeopardize the very survival of wild salmon populations on three rivers and a multitude of species in the Severn Estuary.
