TRUE LOVE 💓💖
What a sincere affection!
Spoken from a real heart connection.
Proven not just by confession,
But through transparent manifestation.

A charity that is never proud,
Nor with loud words does it sound.
It shows itself on a Sunday,
And never ceases on a Saturday.

To the recipient, it believes,
And for its cause, no one grieves.
Unlike lust, which seeks self-will,
True love brings peace and remains still.

Not found where sin abounds—
It forbids the stains and dregs around.
Not chasing selfish desires,
But tending to others' needs and fires.

It hides no evil under guise,
Instead, clears obstacles that arise.
It overlooks not every wrong,
But corrects with love, firm and strong.

It endures beyond the rosy times,
And stays through life’s confusing climbs.
After hardship, it remains stable,
And in victory, it's still capable.

A seed that calms all troubles,
Even stormy seas in doubles.
When met with harshness or disdain,
It returns with kindness—not in vain.

True love is wisdom’s epitome,
A gift from God, pure and holy.
He is its source, the originator—
So strive to be a true love carrier.

THE HELPLESS POWER DRUNK

I remember this day a man so bloody a thug;
Who ruled that Land by being a man of the street.
Gradually, he held the rod of power in a tight hug
For years according to the laws of that Land.

He became a man of the underground
By influencing those who led on legal grounds.
He crawled into the assembly of rule makers
And got himself a powerful name among the leaders.

He got tired of being a Kingmaker,
And with his broom, he swept away the Umbrella and all,
To get the biggest Crown over all
With promises to bring the land into a grandeur.

But, lo; all seems to be blur and crashing;
Rats now chase Cats and Hunters are running.
Women have been crying about their boiled sons;
Will their voices ever be heard with actions as feedbacks?

TERTIARY EDUCATION (A Sonnet)

Entered the system young and full of hopes,
Innocent and wowed by the system that looked Doves.
Like play, it's time for walks with files and paper bags
For clearances on legs, buses, cycles and cabs.
Being yabbed at by senior colleagues and Staff,
And our ears are filled with counsels on how to survive and not starve.
Updates and rumours are not caged but left to fly
Around with audacity that we know not which to call a staff.
As freshers we unnecessarily spend and buy
Junks, accessoires and materials that have no head;
Examinations came and left us feeling perhaps and nevertheless.
As we moved many found their horns and followed;
Certainly not all have their shirts signed on at the end-
Some'll put on gowns untimely and some'd be sealed below.

IF NATURE COULD TALK

Great mother Earth under whose wings Nature lie!
The beautiful atmosphere that milks the Ozones
Who shields her mother's tenants that they may not die!
What has become of you now from the meal fed to your bones?
Handsome forests loaded with bushy hairs of trees!
Most have been barbed skin with animals captured.
What more can she say for her waters are drying and children killed?
Oh evil called development and expansion!
Please have your acts measured and measures questioned.

Many pasts've been parked in packs from the passengers of the present life
Yet there arises a part that loves licking wounds
Like a tap they run words that butcher more badly than a Knife
Oh little member that houses life and death
I man your gate from the evils I got from birth

It's a new day and the beginning of a new week. Let us express our gratitude to God for this.

When you wake up after a night
Never think it was by your might.
It was God that took up your fight
And put your enemies to flight.

Our God you're so awesome!
Your goodness're innumerable and love not a some
Incomprehensible are the sums
That made your glory brighter than the Sun.

You're my God, the Almighty!
Besides you is no mighty.
You satisfy us in plenty;
Revealing yourself as a bounty.

You're seated far above on your Throne.
In your City is no moan.
We on Earth are cloned
And away all our griefs are blown.

Have a day ahead.

NIGERIA!!

I was going through my old Poems and I found this great piece. It was posted on the 30th of June, 2020.

My Country: Nigeria

This is Nigeria
We are in Africa.
Most things about us are full of palaver
Main business:oil,agric and pastorals.

I know of a country green and white
With stagnant horses displaying might,
Arm stretched Eagle up like kite
And soil rich with flowers fine at sight.

Here is my country!
Where mother hen and chicks aren't free
To move without some watch.
Else Eagles and sods use them for lunch.

Behold a nation.
With numerous voices on motion.
Iscariots of some voice strive 'out pure notion.
But for terror and destabilization.

Gone are those days!
When lone goods are found at open base.
With none so vigilant at some angle
And robberies with thefts mere fables.

Here is a society.
Where truthful lies mixed with more fabricates
And masses issues in unsettled debates.
Our Country is in a state of debility.

Behold my community!
Where two two weeks equals three months
There maybe addition 'gain due to it personality
Silent but pi***ng, eating all with wide mouths.

For it are closed all schools.
Time and plan draining kegs.
Differentiating full and empty barrels
By work done to make up this mess.

I hail my Country with little cities but lacks what makes a complete City. Oh LORD our Father, wherever we've gone farther,in your merciful power, draw us nearer and make us better to be Sailers that Matters to fully settle our matters.

Nigeria one day will be better. Let all hands be on deck. Change begins with me and you.
