I’m waiting for the right moment to strike – Kevin Taylor declares boldly.

Controversial media personality Kevin Taylor has hinted at an upcoming "strike" following a Supreme Court ruling that quashed a 2020 arrest warrant issued against him for contempt.

In a 4:1 majority decision on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, the Apex Court ruled that the warrant violated Taylor's right to a fair hearing and breached principles of natural justice.

Shortly after the verdict, Taylor stirred speculation with a cryptic Facebook post, sharing an image symbolizing “wickedness” and captioning it: “I will strike at the right time.”

The post has triggered buzz online, with many wondering what Taylor’s next move will be.

Government Appoints Mugabe Saifu Maase to Tema Oil Refinery Board."

Broadcast journalist and Power FM General Manager, Mugabe Saifu Maase, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Ghana’s leading oil processing facility.

His appointment was announced during the swearing-in of a new TOR board by Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor, on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama.

Maase, a staunch supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), brings media experience and a strong political voice to the board.

His inclusion signals a strategic move by the government to blend communication savvy with energy sector expertise.

Minister Jinapor tasked the board to restore TOR to full operation, calling the refinery “a critical national asset.”

The new TOR board is chaired by Hon. Nayon Bilijo, with other members including Edmond Kombat (Acting MD), Dr. Sebastian Sandaare, and Osabarima Kyei Osafo Kantanka.

Speaking on behalf of the board, Bilijo pledged to work “with urgency and dedication” to revive the once-thriving refinery and secure Ghana’s energy future.

Kusasi Deputy Chief Killed Outside His Residence in Kumasi.

The Kusasi community in the Ashanti Region is in deep mourning following the tragic shooting of their deputy chief, Kaad Naba Malik Azimbe, also known by his skin name, Kaad-Naba Tiewin II.

He was gunned down in front of his home in Kumasi and rushed to Manhyia Hospital, then later transferred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he was pronounced dead.

Kaad-Naba Tiewin II played a key role as the acting leader of the Kaad community in Kusaaug and served on behalf of the Kusasi Regional Chief, who has been unwell.

His death has left a leadership vacuum and sparked fear and outrage among community members.

A visibly upset elder described the killing as an act of impunity, calling it a targeted attack that demands swift action. The motive for the murder is still unknown.

Police have launched investigations, while the Kusasi community calls for justice and increased protection for traditional leaders.

"I’ve fully recovered and I’m back on my feet," — Hawa Koomson declares after the Ablekuma North attack.

Former Fisheries Minister Mavis Hawa Koomson has confirmed she has fully recovered from injuries sustained during the July 11 Ablekuma North by-election violence.

Speaking in Accra on Saturday, July 21, 2025, the former MP assured her supporters she is doing well, saying, “I needed to show everyone that I’m okay.”

The rerun, held in 19 polling stations, was marred by chaos after unknown individuals attacked voters and officials, including Koomson among the victims.

She expressed disappointment over the silence from national leaders, especially as a woman assaulted in a political setting, but said she leaves it “to God.”

Her remarks have reignited calls for better security for political figures and stronger safeguards during elections.

"Doggy’ Style Could Lead to Stroke." — Herbalist Warns Ghanaians.

Renowned herbal practitioner, Dr. Apostle Samuel Amagashie, has warned that the popular ‘doggy’ s*x position could pose serious health risks, including triggering strokes in both men and women.

In an interview with Nana Ansah, the CEO of Amagashie Herbal and Spiritual Clinic, cautioned that certain s*xual positions, particularly those that strain the body, may affect the heart and overall health.

He advised couples to consider safer, less physically demanding alternatives during intimacy to avoid potential complications.

Dr. Amagashie also urged the government to establish a National Herbal Training Centre to boost education on herbal medicine and support its integration into Ghana’s healthcare system.

It's my prayer that the NPP stays divided, — Volta NDC Chairman Mawutor Agbavitor boldly states.

Volta Regional NDC Chairman, Mawutor Agbavitor, has stirred debate after boldly declaring that he prays the NPP remains divided ahead of the 2028 elections.

In an interview with Adom News, Agbavitor said the infighting within the NPP is a “blessing in disguise” for the NDC, arguing that a divided ruling party poses less of a threat in future elections.

“I don’t wish them well. I pray they stay disunited and fail to come together to ask anyone to vote for them,” he stated.

He criticized the NPP for what he described as years of corruption, mismanagement, and environmental destruction, referencing the conduct of the Ashanti Regional Chairman and scandals involving institutions like COCOBOD and GNPC.

Responding to Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin’s accusation that the NDC is worsening Ghana’s economy and attacking the judiciary, Agbavitor dismissed the claims as political noise from someone “hungry for attention.”

“Afenyo-Markin just wants to be noticed. He’s shouting in Parliament to boost his popularity,” Agbavitor claimed.

The exchange adds to rising tensions between Ghana’s two major parties as both gear up for the 2028 general elections.

Supreme Court Overturns Arrest Warrant Against Broadcaster Kevin Taylor.

The Supreme Court of Ghana has nullified a long-standing arrest warrant issued against US-based Ghanaian broadcaster, Kevin Ekow Taylor, in a major legal victory for the controversial media personality.

In a 4-1 majority ruling delivered on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, the apex court declared that the warrant, originally issued in January 2020, violated the principles of natural justice.

The court emphasized that Taylor was not given a fair hearing, a basic right under Ghana’s legal system.

The arrest warrant stemmed from a contempt of court case, where Taylor was accused of making disrespectful remarks on social media about an ongoing trial in Ghana.

The High Court, then presided over by Justice Eric Kyei Baffour, issued the warrant without granting him an opportunity to respond.

Though Taylor was never detained, the warrant remained active for over five years until this decisive Supreme Court intervention.

Legal analysts view the ruling as a reaffirmation of due process and a warning against judicial overreach, especially in contempt proceedings involving public commentary.

Afenyo Markin is corrupt and unfit for the NPP and must be sacked. — Dr. Amoako Baah fumes.

Former NPP National Chairman hopeful Dr. Richard Amoako Baah has accused Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin of corruption, calling for his immediate removal from the party.

Speaking on ABC News Ghana, Dr. Baah cited Afenyo-Markin’s “unexplained wealth” and urged the NPP to clean up its act.

“The bad ones should be weeded out. The party is driven by money, not values,” he stated.

He warned that ignoring such issues would erode public trust and hurt the NPP’s future electoral chances, urging party leadership to take a firm stand against impunity.
