Yes, autumn is here 🍂

But my candles clearly haven’t got the memo 😂

I love autumn and all the gorgeous colours that come with it - but sometimes I want bright. Sometimes I want colour. Sometimes I want something that still feels a little bit like summer ☀️

So while the leaves are turning rusty and gold,
I’m over here making candles bright and bold 😏🌸

Pink in October? Absolutely.
Flowers? Obviously.
A snake wrapped around the whole thing? Well… why the hell not? 😂🐍

Autumn outside.
Summer in my heart ❤️
And apparently, on my candles too 🙃

When did wellbeing become another bloody job? 😂
Of course I want to grow. I want to learn, do better and become the best version of myself - whatever that actually means.

But sometimes even “becoming the best version of yourself” sounds exhausting.
Another goal. Another thing to achieve.

Meditate every morning. Journal. Exercise. Drink the green juice. Be grateful. Heal your trauma. Get enough sleep. Manage your stress. Get a perfect yoga pose at sunrise while looking completely freaking serene 😂

I love wellbeing. I love movement, exercise breathwork, journaling, rituals. They've helped me enormously.
But I don't want any of them to be added on my long to-do list.

Some days looking after myself means exercising.
Some days it's having a long bath 🛁
Some days it's doing absolutely nothing useful.
And apparently some days it's riding a wooden donkey in the middle of a forest 🤣

That's much closer to what I want Fromgrief2bliss to be about.
POSSIBILITIES not PRESCRIPTIONS.

I'll share the things that have helped me. You take what works for you and leave what doesn't.

Because surely wellbeing should make life feel a little lighter - not give us another bloody job to do.

I had a whole speech prepared about my new Muse moulds purchased from US.

Very informative. Very professional. Very small-business-owner-of-me 😌
Unfortunately, the sound was absolute rubbish 😂

So instead, you get music and the important bit:
LOOK AT THE BLOODY CANDLES🕯️😍

Honestly, I'm slightly obsessed with these shapes.
There's been wax testing, wick testing, a few questionable experiments and a fair amount of staring at candles while they're burning like it's my full-time job 😂
But THIS is the part I love - seeing an idea finally come out of the mould looking like this 😍

Still testing. Still playing. Still learning.
But bloody hell, they're beautiful!

Which one would you choose? 👀

Over the last few months, so much of my spare time has gone into building Fromgrief2bliss — making, testing, learning, experimenting and developing new ideas. And I've genuinely loved it.

But somewhere along the way, my workout evenings became fewer and fewer.
Tonight I'm claiming one back 💪😂
Not because I'm starting some perfect new routine. Not because Monday means I need to “get back on track.”
I just bloody missed it.
And it felt GOOD but painful 🥵😅🥵

Fromgrief2bliss doesn’t get built during perfectly organised, uninterrupted hours.

It gets built around a full-time job, the commute to work and back, kids’ activities, housework, family, friends , community events and all the other things that make up a life.

Sometimes it’s an hour in the evening. Sometimes a few hours at the weekend. Sometimes it’s simply squeezing one small job into a gap I didn’t know I had. 😂

And some weeks I genuinely wonder how much I’ve achieved.

But then I look back and realise that all those little pockets of time add up.

Little by little, I’m building Fromgrief2bliss 🧡

And apparently learning to edit bloody videos along the way 😂🎬

Why do I paint the cracks gold? 🏺

Kintsugi 🏺 is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold - not hiding the cracks, but honouring them as part of the object's story.

That philosophy is at the heart of Afterglow 🕯️

Life leaves its marks on us. Experiences change us. Some things break us open. But those chapters don't have to be hidden - they become part of who we are and what we carry forward.

That's why I chose this Kintsugi-inspired marble jar for Afterglow.

And it's also why I love pairing it with a journal 📖

Light the candle. Open the journal. Take a few quiet minutes to reflect:

What has shaped me?
What have I learned from it?
What do I want to carry forward?

Journaling isn't about finding the perfect words. Sometimes it's simply giving yourself somewhere to put the thoughts that have been living in your head.

Afterglow is a reminder that our marks are part of our story - and there can still be beauty in what comes afterwards 🤍

Warm water. A beautiful scent. A few quiet moments with nowhere else to be.

This was my permission to pause - switching off from the noise, slowing everything down and simply enjoying the moment.

Because sometimes self-care really is that simple.

What does your permission to pause look like?

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

It feels like the right day to finally share the story behind the name Fromgrief2bliss.

My journey began nine years ago, when I lost my husband to su***de.

What began with grief eventually became something much broader. I learned that grief and joy can coexist - that I could miss him deeply and still find reasons to love my life.

And over time, Fromgrief2bliss came to represent more than bereavement. Life can overwhelm us in so many ways - grief, burnout, change, losing ourselves in constantly doing and caring for everyone else.

For me, it is about creating space to pause, reconnect with ourselves and find calm amongst all that noise.

Because whatever we're carrying, there can still be room for joy 🧡
