This is Tsoede (Ichado).
He was the son of Attah Ayegba Oma Idoko, the then Attah Igala.
He had a Nupe mother, born in Nupe land of Niger state, but later taken to Idah, stayed in the palace of Attah his father, and later fled Idah when his father was about to die.
Through the blessing of his father who gave him different royal materials, instructions, charms and bronze canoe along with many warriors from Idah, Ichado introduced the bronze casting to the Nupe people which he learned from Igala land.
He encountered difficulties on his way as some from Idah were pursuing him to take those materials from him or kill him.
At some point, he transformed himself and his followers into a creek and those pursuing them were confused and later went back. He sank the bronze canoe they were using before the transformation and till date, the yearly searching festival for the canoe takes place.
When he came back to Nupe land, he made himself King of Nupe people and combined all the different communities under one King, himself. His followers were given various communities to rule for him too. But just like the Igala kingdom of his father, he started fighting and displacing people from their land and Nupe land started increasing.
He fought Oyo people and ruled them for almost 80 years.
He fought Auchi, Esan, etc and installed his children as well as established his communities in these places.
He died at the age of 120 years (1591) during his war expedition. At the age of 120, he was still strong, He got this long age genes from his father Attah Ayegba Oma Idoko who fought both Jukun and Benin war even though the two wars were far apart.
Some communities founded by the descendants of this Igala prince are in Kaduna, Oyo, Kwara, Bida, etc. Bida was even named Atagara (Attah Igala) community because it was mainly of Igala/Idah people, hence known also as Ibo-Ida, later Ibida, later Bida, meaning "people of Idah).
Tsoede (Ichado) was our Igala Hero but his mother was Nupe.
