What a shoot that was! Despite the extremely poor weather conditions on the second day where it became too dangerous to carry on we sure did make up for it on the final day and with glorious weather to help us out.

Congratulations team on a successful shoot and well done all that kept going when it seemed like everything was against you. I’m very excited to see how ‘Oceans Between’ progresses through post!

Petrol Station Girl (2020) has made the official selection for the Global Lift Off Sessions! We are absoloutely thrilled. This week it is up for the public vote against a brilliant selection of short films. Thank you so much to everyone who has invested and donated to The Wind and the Whimpering since we first started fundraising back in summer 2020. Our latest Indiegogo campaign ended this morning and I am trilled that we smashed our target! I'm excited to bring all the final logistial bits together now and begin production in a couple of weeks time.

The second shoot of The Wind and the Whimpering is only three weeks away! Still lots to do and to prepare as a producer especially making it as Covid secure as physically possible. Lots of new things to consider that we once took for granted.

Fundraising and budgeting is a huge part of the producers role. During the pandemic large amounts of funding have been cut/postponed especially within independant film and new upcoming filmmakers.

Due to this fundraising through sites like Indiegogo is more important than ever if we are to raise enough money to complete this wonderful film to the vision we currently have.

Today I recieved the fantastic news that 'Petrol Station Girl', one of the shorts I produced before graduating Univeristy has made the Official Selection for The Golden Short Film Awards - Student Short catagory! I am so proud of the wonderful team that I worked alongside to bring this heartwarming story to life.

Production for The Wind and the Whimpering written and directed by Laurence McManus has started! Just over a week ago we completed the first half of our shoot - with great success.

Photos below featuring the wonderful work of talented Andie Scott (costume) and Heather Denyer (makeup).

It’s now time to start focusing on the second half of the film which will involve a studio set during early 2021!
