Here’s a different story.
A lady contacted me after years and years fruitlessly searching for an old second hand dog she had fallen in love with in a shop window as a child and begging her mum to buy him.
She had been told ‘urgh, you don’t want that dirty old thing!’ The girl was too polite to say yes and sadly settled for a new one. This memory and feeling had sat with her throughout her life.
I asked her to closely describe the dog and I’d see if I ever came across one. Unfortunately I didn’t. I did however have this old bedraggled nightdress case dog and I showed the lady his face, asking if he was like this. ‘That’s him!’ She replied, But no, it wasn’t, he didn’t sit up or have a little pink tongue etc etc.
My brain went into overdrive. I could make this that dog.
Pyjama case converted to a sitting up wired limbed kapok filled useful cute dog. My client is over the moon. Welcome Snowy!
Not restoration, revival, refreshment….something else but still just as cute!
