When Corona Dental Marketing opened its doors, the world looked a little different. Let's put that into context. 👇
FACEBOOK 📘
When we launched, Facebook was barely a couple of years old and still only available to university students. It had around 5 million users. Today it has over 3 billion. The idea of running a dental practice page, let alone paid ads targeting patients within a 5 mile radius of your surgery, was completely unthinkable.
YOUTUBE 📺
YouTube had literally just launched the year before we did, 2005. The very first video uploaded was 18 seconds of someone at a zoo. Nobody had any idea it would become the world's second largest search engine, or that dental practices would one day use it to attract new patients before they'd even picked up the phone.
TWITTER / X 🐦
Twitter came into existence when we did, 2006. It has since been bought, rebranded, reinvented, and argued about endlessly. We've seen it all.
INSTAGRAM 📸
Instagram was still four years away from existing. The idea that a dental practice could post a smile transformation photo and have hundreds of potential patients see it within hours? Pure science fiction in 2006.
Twenty years ago, dental marketing meant leaflets, local ads, and word of mouth. Today it means websites, SEO, social media, paid ads, email campaigns, landing pages, open day promotions, influencers and a whole lot more.
The world changed completely. We changed with it. And through every new platform, every algorithm update, and every marketing trend that came and went, we kept doing what we've always done — helping dental practices grow. 🦷
Here's to the next 20 years. 🥂
