In this episode we are so lucky to be chatting with the one and only...David Laudat. David is a singer and vocal coach with an incredible career behind and in front of him.
As a vocal coach he’s worked with artists such as The Spice Girls, East
17, Westlife, All Saints, Liberty X, Ash, Rick Astley, Heather Small, Blazing Squad, Lisa Maffia and 100 Reasons, to name but a few. He’s also appeared as the judges’ expert on the first two seasons of The X Factor, and as a judge or coach on a number of other TV shows and networks, including Blue Peter, E4 School of Music, VH1’s Wannabe, No Talent Required, Bring It On and GMTV.
David talks us through his past as a singer and gives advice on how warm up your voice and maintain a successful vocal performance.

The production of this album over the past months has been a beautiful process. Such rich songs lyrically and musically, and a great team to work with. Thanks to Thomas for choosing Crown Lane, Sophie for drums, Phil for bass and Hammond. The Crown Lane team for this was: John (production, mixing, tracking, arrangements) Chris (editing, tracking, production) and Bill (mastering).

Our Story

We are an award winning recording studio based in Morden, London. We specialise in creating exceptional jazz, folk, world, classical and fresh audio recordings.

Founded by husband and wife team in 2007, John and Ruth have established a space for creativity to thrive. Located in Morden Town Centre (with excellent public transport connections & customer parking), through the ethical coffee house, you enter a unique space, to write, refine, create, rehearse and record.

We are a small team, and all sessions are undertaken by the experienced engineers here (John or Bill), to make sure your project exceeds your expectations. We are often praised for the friendliness of our staff, our top-notch equipment (kept in excellent condition), our fully acoustically-treated rooms (all air-conditioned and isolated from each other), and the attention to detail we give to all our clients and their projects.

Your story is really important to us, and although recording takes up a small part of your musical journey, we believe that it is a really significant part, and as such we want to get it right from the start.
