Wow… what a response. ❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who has messaged, offered to help and shown so much love for Muir Matters. It honestly means more than you know.

We’d love to see you at our recruitment evening on Tuesday 14th October at 7pm in the Meeting Room at the Hub. Come along for a chat and to hear a little more about how you could get involved.

Hopefully, together, we can keep Muir Matters going and continue telling the stories that make our community so special. ❤️

Hello there folks, we have some news to share ❤️

Unfortunately, it’s not the easiest news to share, and we’re really hoping our lovely community can help us…

Since the very first edition of Muir Matters which was published on the 5th April 2005,It has been a little part of our community — sharing local news, celebrating local people, keeping us connected and giving our community a voice.

But sadly, without more volunteers, we may not be able to continue into the New Year.

It would be such a shame for something that has been part of our community for over 21 years to come to an end simply because there aren’t enough people to help.

If you have a little time to spare, we’d really love you to get involved. Every volunteer, every hour and every bit of help could make the difference. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who took part with the codeword puzzle. Congratulations to Ester T. from Muir of Ord who solved the puzzle of our Summer issue and won a £60 voucher from the Muir of Ord Coop.

Look out for the next Muir Matters magazine and the codeword puzzle, out in September, that will be sponsored by the Muir of Ord Golf Club.

Hi folks , just a quick reminder about our current Writing and Photography competitions which are taking place.

Writing Competition: the theme is “Flight”
We are opening our format and we now welcome any writing. You can submit lyrics, rap, short prose, thoughts, short stories and even poems, as long as it’s maximum 1 page long.

Photography competition: the theme is “Summer”
The winning photograph will be used for the front cover of our Summer issue. We will also again be displaying short-listedphotos in the library.
