Thank you, to everyone who took part with the Codeword Puzzle. We had 16 entries!

Congratulations to Corinne from Contin who solved the Codeword Puzzle of our Autumn issue and won the tea/coffee and cake for two people from the Estate of Ord.

Look out for the next Muir Matters magazine and the Codeword puzzle, coming out in December, that will be sponsored by the Muir of Ord Coop.

Hi there folks , just a wee reminder about our current winter 2025 photography and writing competitions.

This season, we’re inviting your creativity once again — whether that’s through your words or your wintery snaps.

📸 Photography Competition
Send us your best winter-themed photographs! An external judge will choose the winners, with the top three entries displayed in the muir of ord library and the winning photograph featured on the front cover of our Winter 2025 issue. See the magazine for full details on how to enter.

✍️ Writing Competition – “A Winter Visitor”
In our next issue, we’re looking again for a short story. There will be two categories: Adult and Under-16.
Entries should carry the title “A Winter Visitor” and be around one page long.
Stories will be judged on how engaging, well-written, and original they are, and on how well the title fits the piece.
