I think that the word EDC sometimes gets overused and sometimes it's not something people carry with them at all times, but one thing I always have with me is my phone and stuck to my phone case is Showcase 2.0 by 2.0 by Thomas Sealey and Mark Traversoni from Saturn Magic and it's a utility which allows you to produce a playing card from your phone and can be done completely surrounded too.
You can either force a card via equivoque or simply use something like DFB and get the spectator to select a number and have that your force card.
So like this shot when I was filming a wedding and it came up somewhere that I did magic and some one asked for me to show them a trick right then and there, with no setup, I was ready to go and perform the effect of them selecting a number, which then was a card in the list of notes and then I said I can make their card appear and show the back of the phone and a credit card and say there's a card and then turn over the phone and ask them to hold out their hand and then produce a card which is the one that was in the list at their selected number.
This was the reaction after that happened and the comment which came after was "How the f**k did you do that, I didn't even see you with any playing cards".
What's your true EDC that you always have with you, or what trick do you perform when some one asks you to do magic spontaneously?
