When was the last time you saw your grandparent or great-grandparent?

I last visited my Nana months ago. Not because I don’t care, but because life gets busy, distance gets in the way and, if I’m honest, sometimes it can be difficult seeing someone you love so different from how you remember them.

It brings me comfort knowing there are people creating moments of joy, connection and laughter when family can’t always be there.

Katie at Jo Jingles does exactly that, bringing music, movement and smiles into care homes across Ipswich and beyond. These sessions create wonderful opportunities for residents, children and families to connect through songs, memories and shared experiences.

Families are welcome to join these special intergenerational sessions for just £4.50 pay as you go.

Parents, would you agree that some of the posters and graphics we’re seeing lately don’t quite inspire us to take the next step?

As AI becomes more accessible, it’s tempting to let it do all the work. But the businesses that stand out are often the ones using AI to enhance their ideas, not replace them.

A recent talk I attended shared a phrase that stuck with me:

“AI can be confidently wrong.”

If we’re not experts in a subject, we don’t always know when to challenge what it gives us.

Before posting your next graphic, ask yourself:

• Does this feel like me and my business?
• Would I stop scrolling and actually read this?
• Does it clearly tell people what they need to know?
• Does it look different enough to stand out?
• Would my audience recognise the person behind the business?

So much of what connects people online isn’t perfect graphics or clever prompts. It’s personality, authenticity and trust.

Use AI. Experiment with it. Challenge it. Refine it.

But don’t lose the thing that makes your business different! YOU!

June is looking BUSY for family fun 🌞🎪🦖

I don’t think I’ve ever seen this many events, festivals, trails, shows, pop-ups and summer activities happening all at once 😅

From dragons and outdoor cinema to open farm days, family festivals, character events and FREE activities, there is SO much on this month for families across Suffolk.

And we haven’t even started on Father’s Day yet… 👀 (that’s getting its own post because dads deserve a special mention 💕)

🚜 Family fun, fresh air, and farming adventures await this Open Farm Sunday 🌱

Farms across the UK are opening their gates with a wide range of activities for all ages, from machinery displays and farm walks to children’s activities, animals, food, and more.

Each farm is different, with both free and paid events available, making it easy to find the perfect day out for your family.

This event is due to take place on Sunday 7th June 2026 with a few farms opening evenings before this and some opening gates Saturday 6th June also.
