There’s no footage of the hugs because I was too busy actually living the moment.

Meeting someone in person for the first time after championing their business for months and being greeted with a hug feels pretty special.

Toddle About might include magazines, posts, emails and events, but at the heart of it are the relationships being built and a community of people I genuinely want to see succeed.

Kinda chic, right!

Today, an idea finally came together.

A space where no one needed to set up a stand or sell. Just a room full of people working in, supporting and trying to navigate the family space.

Some had met before, some had been meaning to meet for a while, and some walked into the room knowing no one. We all agreed that we so often see each other on screens and think, “I must message them back” or “I’d love to say hello”.

Today, we finally did.

I loved listening to the conversations, seeing connections being made and hearing the ideas that could come from bringing everyone together.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and supported the beginning of something new, and to Issy, Issy Joslin | Social Media Marketing & Content Writer for sharing her advice on stopping the scroll and answering all our questions.

Our next meeting will be in early December 2026, because no one needs another commitment too close to Christmas!

What makes you trust the people behind a business?

It’s a genuine question I’ve been asking myself for days and I’m not sure I’ve found my answer yet.

I have plenty of stories of trusting a product, business or person to help solve a problem for me or my children, only to discover that I hadn’t researched it enough or looked quite deeply enough before buying into it.

Far too many 3am feeding-scroll purchases, perhaps…

But it got me wondering: are other people finding the same? Have you found an efficient way to work out who is genuine and who might be wearing an internet mask?

Does seeing someone’s face and hearing directly from them make a difference or do you look for something else?

Here’s some of the Suffolk Nursery & Reception open days coming up this autumn, all in one place.

Because sometimes it’s just helpful to have the dates together!

Bright futures begin at Little Jo’s.

From September, Little Jo’s Nursery at St Joseph’s College will welcome children from nine months old, providing an earlier starting point for families looking for nurturing care within the College community.

As I made the effort for the first day at the school gates, I decided today was also the day for a face-to-camera update!

There’s lots to catch up on now I’m back at my desk… well, for one day, as Fridays are now for me and my very-much-a-toddler to spend together.

One week to go until the first Toddle About Networking event.

If you run a class, product, service, venue or business supporting local families, this is a chance to step away from doing everything alone and spend time with people who understand your world.
