Brighton’s best independent record store, Resident Brighton , presents a fantastic event to celebrate the launch of Jakko's new autobiography, Who’s The Boy With The Lovely Hair. The event will take place at The Folklore Rooms , North Street, Brighton on Friday 1st November, 7.00 pm. Jakko will be in conversation with author, comedian and broadcaster ROBIN INCE (best known for his numerous television appearances and for hosting BBC Radio 4’s series The Infinite Monkey Cage with Professor Brian Cox). Jakko and Robin will discuss Jakko’s musical career in King Crimson and Level 42, alongside his personal journey to discover the truth about his origins, as featured in the book.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us on Friday night at West Hampstead Arts Club, for the launch of Jakko's book. Proceedings were expertly hosted by the incredible Stewart Lee. The evening was hilarious and, at times, deeply moving. All in all, it was a wonderful celebration of Jakko's autobiography and we do hope you had a great time. If you are yet to pick up a copy of Jakko's book, it is available via Burning Shed, The Band Wagon USA and all good book retailers.

❤ 🎄 THE CHRISTMAS ALBUM 🎄❤

It is with so much joy that I can finally tell you all about my next recording project, The Christmas Album, which will be released on Alpha Classics on 1st November.

I have to say that this is one of my most personal projects to date, bringing together some of the major influences of my life, all on one album. The boys choir Regensburger Domspatzen (where I was a chorister as a child) sing with me and the wonderful Münchner Rundfunkorchester (with whom I have a long history of special recording and performances), and we are conducted by the incredible musician and friend, Florian Helgath. My mother also makes a special contribution on the guitar, which is something I will forever treasure.

This album contains the Christmas music that we all love to listen to throughout the festive season including traditional carols from Germany, England, Sweden, France and the US. As an extra treat we also added some Alpine/Bavarian Christmas folk music, which of course reminds me of home and my own childhood Christmases.

There are still a few weeks to go before you can listen to it, but you can already pre-order this special gift for Christmas. I hope you love it as much as I do.
