The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) national team scout Morlai Kamara has confirmed - right winger William Sutton-Bangura have choose to represent Sierra Leone.

Currently playing for Fulham's U18 and U21 teams, Sutton-Bangura is eligible to feature for both Sierra Leone's U20 side and the senior national team.

Following a frustrating start to their league campaign, East End Lions head coach Mohamed Lamin Kamara will assess his squad in a friendly match against lower-tier side AVC LA Premiere on Tuesday at the Trade Center Field.

🇸🇱 Football is more than just playing the game.

12-year-old Santigie Koroma from Makeni had a dream to earn an academy scholarship. He recently took part in a talent hunt organized by Morlai and Steven Caulker, despite having a left eye condition.

During the trials, Santigie’s raw talent stood out and caught the attention of European scouts. One of them approached him for his personal details, but soon discovered his eye issue.

After the program, Morlai and his team returned to Europe but they didn’t forget the boy. They reached out to a UK-based hospital with a local branch in Sierra Leone.

Yesterday Friday, Santigie finally received professional treatment for his eye condition.

A powerful reminder that football can change lives, both on and off the pitch. ⚽🇸🇱

Sierra Leone will discover their group opponents for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications today, December 19, 2025,

The draw to be held, at 7:00 (GMT) in Rabat Morocco, will determine the fate of the 48 teams vying for a spot in the prestigious tournament in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania in 2027.

The qualifying series, scheduled to commence in March 2026.

Ousmane Diakité trained with Mali’s senior NT in 2024 but is yet to make an official appearance.

The West Bromwich Albion midfielder remains eligible to play for Sierra Leone through his mother.

He was part of Mali’s U-17 team that finished as runners-up at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, and he has also featured for the Mali U-20 setup.
