About me, Planty Mandy

From being a small child I always loved being in the garden, quite simply, when I am outdoors, I worry less, I smile more and anxiety fades to a minimum, we all know just how helpful gardening is for mental health and I really believe that even the smallest of gardens can be havens to improve our moods. I’ve worked for 14 years as a professional wedding and portrait photographer and a couple of years ago I set out to completely transform my own garden into a magical wonderland, a haven from the world and somewhere I didn’t want to run away from, I fell in love with gardening once again and now I want to use all of my skills and my passions together to encourage our children to garden more, to grow their own and to love and cherish the bees and other wildlife we share our gardens with. During the coronavirus lockdown, I suddenly had all of the time I craved to start putting together plans for a monthly subscription gardening club for children and Planty Mandy’s Gardening Gang was born.

You’ll find loads of free content on this page and every Thursday I’ll be broadcasting live from my garden and speaking directly to your children, gardening kits will be launching soon and I hope when this is over I’ll be able to spend more time outdoors with your children teaching them the wonders of gardening for wildlife. My mission is clear, love gardening, cherish bees and save the world, this isn’t about money, it’s much, much bigger than that.
